I'm in menopause and have terrible vaginal dryness. I've talked to my obgyn and PCP. I use Estrace cream and that isn't helping. I can't take any oral contraceptives due to a medical problem. Intercourse is NOT pleasurable because of the pain. Foreplay doesn't work either. Please HELP!!!

I am having a total knee replacement on tuesday Jan. 9th. I am only 42 which the doc has said is very young for this. I would like some tips from anyone that has had a replacement and was younger. I want to be back to being active asap. Because of my age PT will not be very long so I will be rehabing this on my own for the most part. Thanks for any tips you can provide.

today i cut my finger off at work. this is the second time its happened! so naturally the company policies request a basic urine test. since i take on average a day, 6 asprin pills and an anxiety perscription, do you think that it would make the test bad? iv never smoked anything and only drank once, 8 months ago on my honeymoon. i just dont want anything bad to happen from there! i dont want to look bad! help!!!

Between 3rd week of August 2005 and 10/23/05 I was sexually active. I used a condom and played as safely as I knew how. In November of 05 I got sick and noticed a tonsil stone on my left tonsil. Then I started freaking out thinking that I had HIV. (The tonsil stone comes back still.) In late Jan./early Feb. 06 I got two ulcers on the sides of my tongue and a severe double ear infection, that went away and kept me afraid that I had HIV. Then on 4/20/06 (5 months 29 days after sex.) I got tested with the Orasure HIV test and the results came back non-reactive and I was told that meant negative. On Dec. 3rd of 06 I was having a sore throat and the doctor drew blood to check for a viral infection and the blood work came back normal. Then the week before Christmas I got really sick with a 103 temp and generally feeling awful. Should I get tested for HIV again? Thank you for any help.

As of late i have been dealing with a very bad arm pain (left) that at first i believed to be muscle. It has been 5 days now and the pain is still there. I have had slight chest pain and pressure in my chest, but not at the same time as my arm pains. I have been checked for the chest pressure and pains, but two seperate ER's told me that it was non-specific chest pain. I have also had an ekg and a stress test that both confirm a negative for any heart problems. I realize that my age plays a huge role in why i am more then likely not having congestive heart problems, but still i worry about the possibilities. With that said i was also wondering if anyone could tell me the relation between high blood pressure and high cholestrol, if any. Both my blood pressure and cholestrol are well below normal, on a rare exception however my blood pressure does fluctuate to about 159/80 but immedietly goes back to 128/74. Am i right to still believe that my pains are due to some heart trouble

I suffer back pain at the base of my spine, usually if I'm on my feet for too long (due to work, most of the time!) and have been advised by GP to do exercises to strengthen my back muscles. Am not sure that this will help as am quite fit and exercise regularly anyway but will try don't know what exercises to do, can anyone help?

i went to a back specialist and he referred me to go for a bone scan . I have been having pain in my mid back for 2-3 months . I should have asked but why would he send me for this test ?. What are they looking for . He mentioned strained ligaments , would that show up on a bone scan ?

I'm not naive enough to think that there are any tablets that will help weight loss without eating properly, and exercising more regularly, but am interested to know of anything that might help the process on a bit when combined with eating right, and exercising.
For example, appetite suppressants, fat metabolisers etc.

when it comes to looks? If you see any of the mammals the male is the most attractive one. And male is the one which lures the female with all its show and display. But it is looking totally opposite in our case. It used to be once like that but men of this age seemed to have lost that. Women are show girls now and man is just an observer. No sooner a man turns 30 he looks like a **** with bald head and hairy backs. Whereas women are maintaining their looks even until 40. What is wrong with us?

It would have all right if it was just about show thing. What I really don't like is the women's continuous rant against men. They keep saying every nonsense against men. And men got used to accepting it. It is really a shame. It is going on like a wild fire. Why don't men start doing regular exercises and hit back at them?

My mother has been complaining about going through periods of time where she's so depressed she doesn't want to get up in the morning and cries all the time. During this time she also tends to get extremely angry and lashes out at everyone around her. When she isn't like this, she's so full of energy that she won't even sit still and tries to clean the entire house. She gets so wound up when everyone doesn't feel the same as he rthough, during this period, that she takes over every chore in the house and wears herself out and gets sick.

Is this manic depression? I want her to seek help before she really hurts herself but I don't know if this is even the issue or if it's something else. Disorders like schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder tend to run in our family, if that helps at all.

Just wondering. Some kids in my highschool who were not obese but kind of over weight have went to one of those camps. Me and my friends have had conversations about how the world seems to leave guys and girls with acne in the gutter, while being over-weight (aka. comfertable with your body) is the new thing. Does anyone think that boys and girls with acne should have that kind of comfort also? I mean it's a huge turnoff if a person has acne...but it doesn't seem that much of a turnoff if you are over weight.
