I've never heard of "a cancer" that causes back pain. You should get an MRI done to see where the pain is coming from. Could be something else, not necessarily cancer.

Cancer doesn't cause back pain. Something else causes the cancer. It could be a lot of things. Wearing it out from too much use, or too much weight. Or from an absess or many, many things. You can get back pain if you have cancer.

My breast cancer metastasized to my bones (specifically my spine, L2-5). The tumors caused pathological fractures in my spine and caused nerves to be pinched which caused great pain in my back and all the way down my legs.

My husband thought he hurt his back at work. To make a long story short, he was diagnosed with lung cancer March 20th. He had a tumor on his spine and in his brain. He went thru radiation, chemo, gamma knife procedure and took a drug called tarceva. By the time it was diagnosed it was everywhere. Sadly, my love passed June 6th after fighting a hard fight. GOod luck to you

margarita is correct. My husband's first wife had Multiple Myloma and he said that she had so much back pain that she could barely walk and 6 months after being diagnosed she was bedridden. He could actually feel the tumor on her lower back.
