I'm in menopause and have terrible vaginal dryness. I've talked to my obgyn and PCP. I use Estrace cream and that isn't helping. I can't take any oral contraceptives due to a medical problem. Intercourse is NOT pleasurable because of the pain. Foreplay doesn't work either. Please HELP!!!

There is a vaginal gel call "refresh" that will last for a few days - and protect from secondary infections that are caused by dryness as well....
there is an herb called rehamannia which might help.It means copius vaginal wetness in its native language.
Good Luck

Having just been there...
Drink more water. That can only help.
Oat Straw tea (I get mine at vitamin shoppe)- this makes all tissues that are normally moist even more moist.
Acupuncture can help balance the hormones a a bit too.
KY if nothing else works.... or even if other things help but not enough.

There are some terrific lubricants on the market, go to your drug store and have a look. The warming K-Y jell seems to be working really well. We go through a lot in a week ( at the drug store I mean, not myself) Also one of my middle aged colleagues uses Astro Glide and she swears by it.

Try Toys in Babeland. They have a huge selection! Also, drugstore.com. Both of those online stores have user reviews to help with your decision.
