My friend started her piriod last monday and it is really heavy and is not stoping. she went to the emergency room but was sent home to wait for test results but it has been 48 hours since. she suffers from severe to moderate cramps and has clotts the size of bottle caps. please tell me what to do or could be done.

I've had TMJ for about 3 and a half years now. I was 13 when i 1st had it now im 16. When i went to the an TMJ doctor, he told me to do some jaw exercise and eat soft food for a week, and if it doesn't heal by then he told me to come back and see him. I was young and stupid so i ignored it thinking TMJ wasn't such a serious problem. My jaw still cracks till this very day but since its been 3 years my jaw cracks so easily it doesnt hurt anymore. Now im scared my TMJ disorder can never be fixed. =( Any answers would be great because i was wondering if i should go back an ask to the TMJ doctor.

My current computer chair is crap and I have to buy a new one.

My problem is that I slouch forward when I sit, causing upper back pain.

Can anyone tell me what the best type of chair is? I'm thinking of either leather or Mesh/Aeron.

Would a built in head pillow be beneficial?

I have a toothache!!! Nay, 2 of them!!!!! One in each side of my mouth! When my wisdom teeth came in, I was so afraid of the dentist that I put off having them removed for so long that the pressure from them growing in cracked all of the molars in all 4 jaw bones. So now here I sit, 8 years later, with not one but TWO teeth that are KILLING me!!! I have tried everything...tylenol, aleve, aspirin, darvocet, cloves, anbesol, orajel, and now lidocaine patches on my face! LOL I look like a freak here! Don't laugh at me, I AM in PAIN!!! Problem... I have an appointment with my dentist Thursday, but what the frick do I do until then??? Keep in mind if you will.. I have final exams for nursing school over the course of the next 2 days. So if it will knock me out, it really isn't an option.

Ive been on the depo 4 a yr, ive had 5 shots n gained 25pds so im pretty sure the depo is how i got fat. I really want off the depo, maybe go on the pill, ive heard of girls gettin the pill, usin em correctly & condoms n still getting preg. Just how likely is that tho, has it happened to ne of u? The depo has made me fatter, moody, stressed, loss of wanting to have sex. Is the fact that having no period y u get fat off it? Anyway im looking into using the pill n condoms, ne advice????

Two months ago I began to take Levothyroxin for subclinical Hypothyroidism. My levels are fine now according to the doctor, however, since I began to take them I have noticed that certain foods will bring a burning pain to my stomach. Milk for one, so since then I started drinking Lactose free milk. But it has since then began to expand. Coffee has done it and just the last night hard cider, but the pain since then has been continuing, all day today when I have eaten the pain has returned. Its rather annoying, but Acetaminophen eases it enough so I can relax a little.

I have of course spoken to my doctor about this. He did not give me a single straight answer, rather he gave me a recipe for a soy and psyllium shake that I have followed every morning for this past week and a half. He refused to tell me any method of soothing the pain when it occurs as well. I found the acetaminophen by desperation. Tomorrow I am calling the Nurses advice line in hopes they can provide me some more information.

My questions are as follows, Is this caused by the medicine directly or is it a side effect of my altered thyroid function. Also, what is the best way to soothe the pain when it occurs. With Levothyroxin I am unable to take any antacids or such medications. I am stuck in a very uncomfortable place right now. Please lend to me any advice you believe will be helpful. Thank You.
