"Numbness" is a pretty vague symtpom, with a wide range of meaning. If you are literally losing sensation on the right side of your body, including loss of muscle control, slurring of speech, vision problems, or mental confusion -- by all means, dial 911 right now. The fact that you can sit down at a computer and type a cogent sentence suggests that you're not doing too badly.

Before you freak out from the other responses here, just get yourself to a doctor.

There are a lot of conditions that may cause this, some minor and some very serious. You need to call 911 or get yourself to the emergency room, because this could indicate a reaction to a medication, or a possible stroke, in addition to many other possible conditions.

I suggest you see a doctor at once. Strokes usually cause numbness on one side. Don't delay.

the numbness of a stroke does not spead, once the blood vessel bursts...you will have the damaged...sometimes reversable, sometimes not...could be a pinched nerve, have you recently had a fall, or any kind of accident?? i would see a doctor immediately so tests can be done to determine the real cause of this and not all the theories of people on here to scare you...good luck, i hope your ok...

This is not a healing forum; if something as serious as this is happening to you, you need to get off your butt and get to a doctor ASAP.
