Time. thats it. You have to let it heal on its own, you cannot speed up the process. Not what you wanted to hear, but unfortunately the truth.

Meat won't help. Only time will cure it, in the meantime, you need to reduce the inflamation and the best way to do that is with some kind of icepack (sorry). Use concealers to hide the cosmetic damage. They normally don't fade fully for a couple of weeks. Avoid doing anything that will further traumatize the area, including putting too much pressure on it.

Contact the vet and ask if they can call in an eye ointment for your cat at a local pharmacy. Yep, they can do that. Use a cotton pad, warm water and gently wipe out his eyes from center to out corners if you see any matter in and around the eye. A yahoo poster one time suggest wiping the eyes with milk. I don't know the theory behind it, but tried it on my cat once and it worked.

You just have to wait and let it heal. The meat/ice pack is just for swelling and iI think the meat thing came from old times and the movies.

I'm afraid time is the only way. Use a flesh tone cover-up stick to hide the darkness.
