Hi, I'm an Indian and today is Diwali--the Indian equilavent to Christmas or New Year's. Today, we made a lot of sweets, a lot of food in general, and I noticed that in order to make them, you have to fry them. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make these same foods (such as puris or namkeen matra) without frying them? Is that possible? I mean, in India, that's just the lifestyle and that's how everyone eats; not very many people care that it's fried and therefore not too healthy. And yet, most people are seriously thin! Can anyone explain this?

My child needs braces. My dentist does braces and quoted me a price. I went to an orthodontist to get a second opinion. The cost was more, but I was told by the orthodontist that they specialized in braces, but a dentist does not. Is it worth the extra money?

I weigh 72 kgs (159 pounds) if that helps for anything(!). I have a very fast metabolism and find it hard to put on weight, though I eat lots of healthy food. But I'm more concerned about increasing my chest, so that I can look a little more atheletic than lean...can you help me with that??

i was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. I have not worked in months, therefor i fell behind in my car payments; have no home to call my own; and is really financially in a bind. My husband is no help to me. He walked out over a year ago. I've really tried to stay afloat. It is really hard. I just recently was told there are more masses, therefor putting me in the IV stage, which is the last. I just received approval for ssi and medicaid. But I am so far behind on finances, i don't know what to do or where to turn. I appreciate the help I've received, SSI approval but it is a shame that it had to come so late (waiting bump my condition from stage III to IV. Please someone help me out of this hole. Direct me to the nearest organization for assistance for cancer patients and their financial hardships.

I was injured over 9 months ago when I fell at work injuring the left side. I have a chip in the hip and buldging disks from L2-S1. I have done everything asked (at least once) and I have no real answers yet. I have had x-rays, mri, cortisone shot, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, an epidural steroid injection into L4-S1, and now she wants me to have a SI injection. Because its a work comp case I cannot get away from this doctor and she does not agree with anyone she sends me to. I have seen over 10 different "specialists" and no one can say what is causing the pain. As it sits I have been out of work since the day after the injury which was 9 months ago and may I add I'm only 25. I was injured when I was 24 and spent my bithday in pain uable to barely walk. Everyday I experience pain in the low low back, butt, groin area, thigh, back of leg, knee joints and sometimes in the foot. ALL ON THE LEFT SIDE. ANYONE OFFER ADVICE???

If you stopped going to McDonald's re health concerns, will the following bring you back?

McDonald's Makeover:
Plasma Screens and Cafe Couches
Your local McDonald's, with its hard plastic seats, was designed to move customers in and out fast. But now, with mood lighting, trendy artwork and fireplaces, it will convey a new message.
After 50 years and billions of customers, the fast-food giant is getting a face-lift.

Plasma-screen TVs, soft couches, coffee tables and wireless Internet access are just some of the new features customers will begin to see at their local McDonald's.The iconic red or brown "double mansard" rooftops — designed to catch the eye of passing motorists — will be replaced by something more sleek and modern. The traditionally kid-focused, kid-proof, interior is now decidedly grown up. My boyfriend has had asthma and allergies since he was a kid, and I hate seeing him sniffle and snort and have trouble breathing. He treats the asthma and tries to treat the allergies but they still bother him. Any suggestions for a good medicine he can try? He has seasonal allergies as well as specific allergies ( smoke, cigarettes, cats, etc.) He stays as far from each one as possible.

ok now what is the best value machine. the "blaze" doesn't have adjustable pulley's. is that a big disadvantage. the next one up from the blaze is the extreme for $1099, but it doesn't have a leg extension. so you'd need the extreme for $1299. whats the best value for the best workout? thanks

Been testing Hep-C pos for about 15 yrs, just got a viral load result of 11.5 mill., genome A or 1 (cant remember which) Considering just comfort measures 'til death because of the terrible experience hubby had 5 yrs ago with interferon alfa 2b with riboviron. Have suffered with great overal body pain (and other symptoms) of fibro myalgia, also have been dealing with insulin dependent diabetes for ~10 yrs., chronic allergies (which aggravate the flu like symptoms of fibro) and I have a miriad of other symptoms & probs from "endocrine system shut-down" (Dr's words) from a full body blast of radiation the level of Chernobyl. So, the question is, what do I have to contend with on my way to death from this latest slap in my life-pod's face. Please--no Bible-thumpers' "pray!..." answers.
