Well I feel sad for all of the people that don't realize that they changed STD to STI, probably some stupid political reason, but anyways. Your more prone b/c your immune system is already weakend by whatever STI you already have. For example I have the STI HSV type 2. I have had this for three years. Prior to this i had one occurence of HPV (big difference just for the record) was treated but then discovered that my then "faithful" boyfriend had also blessed me with a permenant case of HSV. My system was already weakened by the exposure to the HPV, thus making it eaiser for me to contract the virus. Well i hope i didn't bore you and that it was easy enough to understand.

What is an STI? Do you mean STD? I just don't understand the question. People are prone to contracting HIV when there is a chance of bodily fluids mixing into the bloodstream, and one of the 'mixers' is HIV+.

If a medic is jabbed with a needle that has been used on an HIV+ person, it's possible for him/her contract it because the needle has made contact with the medic's blood stream. If the medic touches the needle and isn't jabbed, there isn't much chance of being infected. It's pretty much as simple as that.

If a person has genital herpes and has 'relations' with an HIV+ person, they can be more prone to contract it during an outbreak because the lesions will give easier access to the blood stream (not that it's EVER a good idea to have 'relations' during an outbreak). Many STD's DO cause outbreaks or lesions, so if that's what you meant, I hope that helped.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) or STD (disease) provide the HIV with an easier entry into the body-infections irritate tissue, basically creating an open door. Some behaviours that make transmission more likely-are the same and make individuals more likely to acquire or transmit the diseases.

When a person has an STI (STD) they are likely to have sores or disrupted skin, giving an easy entrance into their blood system.
The virus needs to enter the blood to do the damage and multiply.

It's because a sexually transmitted infection "roughens" the sexual tissues, allowing other infections (such as HIV) to enter. Even a very common, relatively harmless infection such as trichomoniasis ("trich"), causes little bumps or blisters inside that make passage of HIV easier.

Another factor may be that the body is already fighting one infection, so when HIV appears, our bodies just have a harder time resisting it.

HIV is a blood borne pathogen. It needs blood contact.
If she has an STD, the body's defense is challenged..Even with normal intercourse there are places in the wall of the vagina that the Aids virus can pass.

STIs (when did they stop using STDs?) lower the immune system response like any other viral illness, so it can be caught off guard.

Hmmm....i do no longer think of you're able to do this consistent with solar sign on my own. So i visit respond to consistent with Venus, Mars and what's on your V and VII properties (answer continues to be a similar inspite of the indisputable fact that - hehehe) and that's in my attitude: #a million Water signs and indicators (extremely maximum cancers) in view that they connect themselves to those they like and don't doubtless enable pass, so as that they might desire to be way up there on heartbreaks i might think of. #2 Earth next with Taurus being extreme up there too by way of fact of there ability to compliment which you're what they are searching for and then stay and stay and stay....the two maximum cancers and Taurus look to set their love hobbies as targets of theirs. #3 Then i might say hearth signs and indicators with Leo topping the hearth chart with their susceptible/delight area being susceptible to heart wreck the main and #4 Then the Air signs and indicators with Libra being the heartbroken leaders of the Airs.

Open sores. They create an entry. A woman is also more likely to become infected during her period.
