If you are doing sets of 50 pushups at a time, does it make a difference if you rest for 1 minute or 10 minutes in between sets?

If you are doing sets of 50 pushups at a time, does it make a difference if you rest for 1 minute or 10 minutes in between sets?

If you are doing sets of 50 pushups at a time, does it make a difference if you rest for 1 minute or 10 minutes in between sets?
I am wondering if this makes a difference in the amount of muscle buildup or definition.
An explanation or rationale would be appreciated.

Keep the rest to a time when it takes your pulse to reduce to 100.

Mmmmm. I know leaving about a minute between helps your muscles 'recover' between sets, but im not sure about 10?

What you need to ask yourself is, why would you want to leave 10 minutes between sets? You'd be on one exercise forever! Well, i suppose you could do supersets, therefore only coming back to pushups about every 5-10 mins. That might work, cos you are keeping your body working between sets.

Depends on your fitness pal. The fitter you are the quicker your body will recover from each set. It also down to how you feel within yourself?

While you rest between sets do another excercise. You don't want to cool down.

Yes, you need to rest inbetween push-ups so that you are taking in plenty of oxygen
