To recover from bulimia the first step is to tell someone about it and not hide it. It is the whole secret/ashamed thing that traps people into continuing to be bulimic for a long time.

Talking to counsellor helps a lot too.

Often there is an underlying cause - need to find that cause and deal with it. Counsellor is the best way.

Finding new habits of dealing with stress or problems is the next step.

Learning to look after yourself and care about yourself again is another step. When you are bulimic you are really hurting yourself. You might have low self esteem or angry at yourself about something in your past - therefore taking it out on yourself and internalising it. Therefore realising this and starting to like or love yourself again is a big step.

Massage is a good therapy. It can really help as part of the treatment.

Hope that helps.
If this information is for you i really hope and pray that you recover quickly from this. It can last a long time and the sooner you can recover the better (for you and your health).
All the best

Admitting that you've got it is a start, but seeking professional help is really the only way. There are some people who can get a grip and handle or themselves, but they are not in too deep or are very strong willed.

Step one...Get to a medical doctor fast.
Step two...Do what he tells you.
Step three...See a shrink... half of bulimia is mental.

you need to talk to a sensitive understanding psychiatrist who can refer you to a specialist.

if you can admit to why you purge then that is part of the healing process. there must have been a time when you didn't purge, and that might pinpoint why you started purging.

it is good that you have realised you have this disorder, that is the first step to recovery.

good luck.

I am really sorry not to be able to help. You must go to see a specialist if it's for you or someone else. This needs expert attention. Sorry.

i would suggest talking to your parents(or someone close to you) and find a psychologist to talk to....Usually stuff like this is somehow caused by somethig that happened to you

Professional help is needed, its not a cure you can do yourself.
