After 3 years of using the patch and having no issues, in March of this year I started having heart palpitations and chest pain (Mother In law passed away at the same time) After seeing my GP, he put me on beta-blockers(Toprol-50mg). I can never tell if they work or not, but I questioned my BC patch and he said this wasn't a side effect(even though the label states that it is) I gave it another shot with my OB/GYN and she blew me off saying BC didn't do these things. I stopped the BC patch altogether and feel 100% better, I also take Vit B and various other vitamins. Has anyone else had an experince similar to this? Would also like to hear from any doctors or nurses that may have some insight other than "see your DR". Thanks

If someone is chronically depressed and suicidal, do antidepressants improve their life in the long run? Do they have to use them for the rest of their life?

Ok, I'm 21 years old and have had very regular periods for the last 10 years (every 28 days) and never missed once in those 10 years. Last month I was 5 days late, and during the week leading up to it had a lot of lower back pain, nausea etc etc (normal symptoms) but no period until it finally arrived. Once arrived, it was a medium flow for a couple of days with clotting , and then really light after that for a few more days (am normally heavy then medium then light for 6-7 days i.e.a regular period) . I ticked pregnancy off the list because my test was negative. Now this month I am due shortly, but again, a week before am having lower back pain, absolutely exhausted and VERY hormonal! Usually my pain starts with my period - never a week or so before. Anyone have any ideas? I appreciate our bodies are always changing, but its scary when it's you! Sorry this is so long.

Help this girl (me) be stronger!?
am planing to workout tonight. I know that it is best to split up excercises so that you do arms, abs and chest one day, and lags and glutes the other, but I have found it best If I do it all on the same day three days a week, here is what I plan to do

pushups
lunges
crunches
sidecrunches
triceps (2kg weigts)
biceps(2 kg weights)
leglifts
wallsits
curlbacks(2 kg weights)

can anyone give me a workout plan, like what order to them how long and how many steps? PLEASE! I am a 13 year old girl, who is stronger than most girls my age as I have done these things before, I just want a plan for better results. I PROMISE that if you take the time to give me a good answer I will choose a best answer! (and I will try to look at questions you have posted to see if I can help!)

i had unprotected sex 6 years ago, with someone i still talk to on the phone now. I have not had sex since then proteced or unprotected. i got tested 1 year ago 5 years after the incident i called (confidential testing places) they sent me to labcorb and my test came back non reactive hiv 1 and non reacitve hiv 2. i am severe anxiety and i almost died waiting for the resaults. what kind of test did i have? how accurate is it percentage wise? should i just go on iwth my life? i ask this becuase my tongue has thrush and i am urinating frequently. Is this due to HIV or anxitey or maybe diebetes . I know i need to go to the doctor but can someone give me accurate and sound advice.

I went back down to 116 from 173 after I had my first son. With my second the weight seems to be taking a bit longer to come off or maybe it's just me being impatient. I had him a month ago and my highest weight with him was 183. I am now about 160. I'm wondering if I'll ever get back down to my usual 120. I really didn't do anything after I had my first baby but I walked during the whole pregnancy for 30 minutes a day. I wasn't able to do that this time b/c I was on bedrest. Any suggestions on what I should do to lose the weight? Thx.

I am 21 years and have hepatitis c, we assume I got it at some point in my life from my mother who also has it. I know of people with the virus but they are all at least 20 years older than me and would like to meet someone my age to talk about it with. Also, does anyone know what foods I should eat to help support my liver?
