Ok, I am a veteran of the Army. While I was active duty, I 'sprained' my ankle, which gave me bursitis in my hip. I have been out of the military since 02 and they (VA hospital) say that they can't do anything to them. IS there anything I can get done to stop the pain? surgically?

Also, my wrists are extremely weak and somtimes my hands go numb to my elbows. What could that be?

I'm 16,5'2, and about 120 lbs...I've had a self-image issue since I was 12 and my family is sick of me thinking about my weight. I swim on a team, so exercise is out of the way but with my diet, I'm never comfortable...some days I eat alot and some days I'll eat practically nothing. I know it's really unhealthy to obsess over my bod, does anyone have any ideas about getting my weight and my mind under control?

I'm not gonna lie. I experimented with meth, crack/coke and acid in my youth (i'm still fairly young, 23), but i have beaten these addictive drugs with great ease. i see kids that have been on the junk for years and to see where they are and where i am is strange to me. i can't seem to quit the cigarettes though. and i smoke the cheeba whenever it's around. but if any of you out there has drug problems, just walk away from it. it's bad news man. it's way too expensive (and risky) and it makes you feel like a couch cushion. but it's totally easy to realize that you are better than that. I have hopes and dreams and i don't think the devil himself could come between me and my life. it's not worth your life. I encountered some 'meth heads' the other day, and i told them i used to use that stuff but i don't anymore, and they thought i was crazy. they called me and my buddy 'used-to-bes'. damn rights i'm a 'used-to-be', and i'll never-be-again. preserverance+determination=completeness

My husband is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 370 pounds. I keep telling him he needs to lose weights, and then he tries to but after a week he stops. It seems like he doesn't listen and dont want to keep hurting his feelings. Are there any unexpensive programs/diet or pills.
