ok you may think is goofy, but let me tell you how I helped my 12 year old. My brothers and sisters are all over weight, I mean, they all weigh over 250 pounds, even the 13 year olds. Before I had kids, I too worried that I would become as large as they are, but fortunaltely, that hasn't happened!! Unfortuneately, I have a complex about my weight that I passed down to her, and I have had to have her tested for anerexia. She is now 17 years old, and when she was 12, i gave her the video camera and the digital camera and I had her take pictures of herself and videos of herself, I told her to watch the videos and look at the pictures, take the pictures and compare them to other girls your age online. She does this, and it has made an impact on how she looks at herself, she now has self confidience that is built at her looking at herself , like others see her, not how she sees herself, good luck,
and have you asked God to be the bridge between you and this problem, I promise, He will help you to overcome your doubt of yourself

120 lbs for a 5'2" body is not extremely overweight. But, you should eat either 3 meals a day or 6 very small meals a day. Try avoiding the bad carbs (sweets, white bread, pasta, sugary cereals). Consult with a dietician to make sure you are eating a balanced diet. Its great that you get exercise, swimming is a great form of it.

Your weight is actually okay so don't focus on losing weight. If you don't believe me go here: http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/
Put your info in and it will tell you that you are at a healthy weight. Just try to have steady eating habits, don't starve yourself one day and pig out the next, focus on healthy meals. Since you said your family is sick of you obsessing about your weight, maybe you can talk your Mom or Dad into taking you to a nutritionist. He/she can help you develop a daily way of eating that is healthy and long-term. Diets always fail because you can only do them so long, so like I said, focus on staying and eating healthy, not on losing weight.

I had the same problem. Heck, I still do. I was a cheerleader and then I lifted my senior year. If you are exercising, I wouldn't worry so much. But I did at your age. I weighed 160. Just relax a little and realize that you are not the only one with these concerns.

Try looking at starving kids in third world countries with real problems. This is just a phase and you'll grow out of it. Just give it time.
