Lately, everytime I get a paper cut or something I have been bleeding a lot before it clots. A few days back, I got a paper cut, and I thought that it would clot in a couple of seconds, but it just started bleeding and bleeding until blood dripped off my finger. I had to rush to get a bandaid.

Why has this been happening?

I am planning to take up regular exercises, since my blood test showed Cholestrol above normal level. I was thinking of doing work outs at the Gym. But as an alternative will Swimming alone help me. Or do I need to really sweat. ??

I live in the middle of nowhere, so classes aren't an option. Any good DVDs or books out there?

This has been happening to me alot recently... but all of a sudden I'll feel something kinda hard in the back of my throat and out will come solid white stuff... its solid, but you can mash it... I don't know... in the last couple of years, I've been sick... I had strep throat ALL THE TIME.. then I got really sick and they send me to an infectious disease doctor. My spleen was stretched down and sitting on my pelvic bone... I was removed from school and not allowed to pick up anything heavy or play around at all... they checked for mono, it wasn't that... they checked for cancer.. everything.... blood problems... they never figured it out because one day it just went away... sometimes my left side still hurts.. and recently my throat will hurt randomly and go away, i have headache alot, alot of trouble sleeping and chest pains... and now this thing happening with my throat... does anyone know what this could be??? Any help at all would be appreciated... thank you..

I was under the impression that sepsis meant the proliferation of bacteria in the blood stream however now I'm confused and am wondering if septicemia is just a larger umbrella term for pathogens in the blood whereas bacteremia is specific to bacteria in the blood.

Can anyone clarify this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am 5'5 male, weighing at about 115, and is 16 turning 71 y.o

I know i am below my average weight. That's why i need to know how many calories should i consume each day to be restored to my average weight. When i go through this process do i have to exercise or will the food consumed turn into fat?

One more question, what is the weight for a 17 y.o 5'5 male?

You've heard someone say "You're seeing things", or "You're hearing things".....but have you ever been told "You're SMELLING things!"?

i've heard of stories of girls that they tell their parents, and their relationship becomes stronger. i would like to tell her, it happened about a year a go with my ex, no i'm 16, i am active with my new boyfriend we've been together for 9 months. i'm a good student, i get awesome grades, i'm very advanced with school, and i'm respectful. i'm not some little hoe, i just happen to fall in love. if you were to see me on the street you wouldn't be able to think anything of me other than i'm some kind of nerd and plus i look like i am 12. i don't want it to hurt my mom, i want to be honest, and i don't want her to think i'm dirty because i've practically have slep with as much guys she has slep with. i love her, and i'm a good daughter or should i just keep inside, and tell her when i'm about to get married. opinions from mothers would GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.. :P

Hi. Im 22 yrs old and not activly Trying to conceive, although Im not on birth control. My cycles have been regulatr for the past 6 months, which is excellend considering I have PCOS.
My period always lasts 5 days, and has since I first got it 10 yrs ago. This last cycle (July 25) only lasted 2 1/2 days. It was pretty heavy, so I didnt think anything of it. Around that time and a bit before and after I had intercourse. Now Im having sore nipples (never have before) pretty bad, irratability and Im tired all the time.
Because I did have bleeding (still pretty heavy) is there a chance I could be pregnant? or does it sound like a hormonal imbalance?
**************************************************
Please note I am happily married, and have been for 2 years. Im not activly TTC (trying to conceive) but we are letting nature take its course. Do not come in here and judge me, just answer my question. Thanks************************************************
