I just bought some cloth that I had stitched into an outfit. The catch is that I know the cloth is going to run when I have it washed. Is there some way I can set the dye so that it does not run when washed?

I want to star making some beaded jewelry. I've been looking on ebay but are there any other places I could buy cool beads in lots and individually? I would prefer websites, but if you know any places in central jersey area, that would be cool, too. If you're from jersey, does Englishtown flea market have any vendors?

I'm trying to find out if there is a name for this pattern, or the way the pattern repeats. If you notice, it only repeats horizontally. Most patterns I see are smaller and repeat in both directions.

If anyone could tell me the name of this type of fabric, or links to sites that sell this kind, I'd really appreciate it!

If a picture has the words "painted from nature by J.J. Autubon" could it be an original? And don't say take it to an appraiser please. I've taken articles to appraisers before they said "their worth between 25 and 50 dollars" We sold them on E-bay for between 500 and 900 dollars each. Within 3 to 4 weeks after they were appraised.

I have been a seamstress for over 40 years and I have so much fabric that has accumulated-I don't want to just pitch it-I would like to send it to someone who could use it. Maybe a charity for dolls, quilts, etc? Any advice. I would pay for the postage.

My mother bought this when I was a kid & she didnt have anything to use it for either--I refused to wear anything she sewed me in pure green. The only thing I can think of is maybe an apron...I dont think any of my 4 daughters would want to wear green homemade clothes either...It would be a shame to waste this nice but green cotton material! Please help!

A friend has a dime that won't work in our office soda machine. Upon closer look, it feels a little lighter than other dimes, and does not have a mint mark near the year (1964) like most dimes. Is there anything special or significant about this coin? Is it possibly worth more than 10 cents?

I love to read and book shops hold a special thrill for me. I enjoy having the book to peruse through at my leisure. Is the e-book experience as enjoyable and reliable for finding what you really want to read?

I love, love, love those fabulous hippy patchwork skirts for the summer and have several- but they are pretty expensive to buy. I would love to learn how to sew them myself- the tiered variety, or the kind with long panels, elastic or drawstring waist. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I just want to make some for myself & my daughter.

I have this cheap white coffee table that I got at a tag sale. It has a large white surface that I want to cover with pictures, stickers, and magazine cut outs. I was wondering if there is any sort of tape that I can put over paper that will seal it down and be fairly waterproof and remain flat. Do they sell stuff like this at Michaels or JoAnnes? I'd want the role of tape to be pretty thick so I can just slab pieceson photos and still use the table as a surface for eating, playing, etc.
Any ideas/suggestions/answers?
