YES!! Quilts for Kids is looking for unwanted fabric so it doesn't need to be tossed. They take the fabric and make it in to wonderful quilts to give to children with cancer, AIDS, life-threatening illness and abused children. this is the best place to give your fabric especially if it is children's themed!!! The world needs more people like you who are willing to give!! :)

Try some of the local churches. My home church makes quilts for sending to missions in foreign countries and they give some to local law enforcement to give kids who have been in bad situations. They will take almost any scraps that they are given. Also try some of the local quilting guilds - they often make opportunity quilts and raffle them off for good causes.

Hi, we just started an outreach program through our ministry that is making baby quilts for teen mothers, and quilts for the elderly and the homeless. Don't throw those scraps away, we would definately be interested. Our program is called Quilts of Comfort.

Yes, our quilt guild is making quilts for soldiers/families in the burn unit of Brooks Army Hospital. Our Community Service Person may be interested in fabrics for these quilts. Her name is Beth Curry and she can be contacted by going to our website: Homespun Quilt Guild. I hope this helps. -Rose S.

I am the Director of Ohlone Wellness Project. I work with Native American Women and other interested parties to create healing quilts, or honoring quilts. If you are interested in a fabric donation, let me know.
Be well,

I am a member of a quilting guild that makes "Comfort Quilts" for those in shelters and children's homes. If you would like to see your scrap material used to brighten someone's day then we would love to have anything you might think we could use.

I would suggest contacting a local quilt shop - they will probably have some great ideas for you. Also, senior centers often make use of these scraps. Bless you for wanting to share.

The Mennonite Relief fund sells a lot of quilts. They have to gather up material for each quilt.

The ladies at St. Bernard's Church in Peoria, IL use any fabric given to them to create outfits for children in Haiti. Twice yearly a local group goes to Haiti for a medical mission and takes the clothing to Haiti. Flannel is used to make blankets- to keep flies off the babies skin and to make diapers. Small pieces can be sewn together to make liner strips in the diapers. Any cotton or polyester type fabrics (warm weather fabrics) can be utilized by this group. If you are interested, please contact me and we can arrange for you to get more information.
