I have several mirrors and other antique items that I'd like to sell, but are there any links for antique related information? I don't even know where to begin?

I'm trying to locate a freeware program that, when installed resembles one of those blue Whitman coin folders. You click on the empty circle and the coin is placed into the page. I think you were also able to grade the coin and add notes by each picture. I downloaded it back in early 2000 but our computer stolen and I have never been able to find another program that is even similar.
I think the person who had created the program was an aol member and he had a coin page through his aol profile or something.
Does anyone have even a clue where I might find this available to download? Even if it's shareware.

I am looking at a 1920s tin cigarette box. There are rust stains and scratched-off paint. I think I have a good idea about how to take care of the rust, but what kind of paint would be best for this job?

Thanks!

My home made kite keeps spinning out of control, does any one know exactly why it spins?

I try to keep the strings symmetrical and the dowels straight, but no matter how much i adjust it keeps spinning out of control.

My hand made kite is a two stick kite, the ones that look like a streched "X", not the classic "t".

I used to see in the back of the pumpkin carving kits, suggestions to carve watermelons ... and I was wondering if anyone has ever carved a watermelon.

I have a 1921 coin that is probably either Dutch or Danish in origin. I found it digging through my Great-grandmother's old things, I'm guessing on the origin, becuase she came over frome Denmark.
On one side there is a 5 on top of three Crowns in a reverse triangle with the words 'Fem Öre' on either side of the bottom crown. On the reverse side is a Crown with a swirly type design underneath it with 1921 on either side of the design. Around the top edge are the words MED FOLKET FOR FOSTERLANDET. There are no ridges on the edge of the coin, but I'm not sure whether that has to due to age or the making.
Any info about this coin is appreciated, but I'm particularily interested in it's origin and history.

I would like to learn the basics of dress-making or sewing. However, although there are a range of courses available in my area, they are on during the times i'm working or while i'm at college. Does anyone know of a good dress-making for beginners book or dvd / video?
Thanks

I know how to do the whole freezer paper thing, but what paint to use? Some say it doesn't matter, but others say some are better.

So...
1. What paint is the best to use? (best for your money kind of thing)
2. How long do these clothes last without any fading?
3. Which is the best way to apply the paints? Sponges? Paintbrush?

I recently had my Grandfather's WW2- era military medals passed down to me, including purple heart, bronze star, presidential unit citation, and several other medals/ribbons. I am trying to create a shadow-box type display case. I need advice on:

1) The proper way to display the medals (correct order), if there is one. (A URL would be nice.)

2) An effective way to attach the badges, and other ribbons (without pins) to the velvet background.

It has the copper and silver look, but all the ridges and raised images appear to have been smoothed away. I got it with my change at a grocery store this morning, but didn't notice the difference untill I started to count my change. What should i do with it? Thank You.
