When I was young I can remember having these wooden block puzzles. I remember having a cube and a barrel-shaped block. It was basically a block of wood cut in a certain shape but made up of interlocking pieces which you had to put together in a specific way.

Does anyone remember what these type of puzzles were called and if anyone still makes them? If so, where can I find them?

I have been to all the trouble-shooting sites, but this problem cannot be remedied there, as I took all their suggestions, and none of them worked.
My fabric is not moving. The fabric does not feed. The needle goes up and down, but will not stitch forward or in reverse? Any suggestions before I take my Singer to the shop?

I'm wondering if it's possible to wire multiple remote controlled cars so that a single remote can control them all simultaneously (so that they move in exactly the same way). I'm designing something of a bizarre costume that I would like to be able to "drive", so to speak, when it's in a certain position, so whatever wheels/controls I use would have to be as lightweight as possible, which is why I thought of the toy cars. I'm not familiar at all with this sort of thing, so I wouldn't be surprised if this sounds quite silly, but it's worth asking, I suppose. I myself don't weigh that much, which is why I'm not concerned with multiple toy cars being able to support my weight (although it would be quite funny if I tried it and they COULDN'T, haha).

If my toy car idea isn't possible/likely to work, is there something else I could try? Are there websites, or maybe books that I might refer to? (Oh, the crazy projects I take on...)

Thanks for any help. :)

I still can't get to grips with cross stitching!! Am I meant to have a little bit of material showing between each stitch?? Or is this wrong?
HOW ON EARTH DO I DO THIS?!!
It's driving me nuts! I have a really nice design to make but I just cannot get the stitching right. Someone please tell me how to form the basic cross stitch correctly, plus the back stitch and all other stitching styles!
Thanks!

I tried Scrapbooking but I didn't have enough pictures that I would use in those sitations.
I'm into photography though and I DO take a lot of pictures.
I've tried knitting, which is a bit weird for a 14 year old girl, i know. But it didn't work out either.
I read a lot.

But I end up spending 98.9% of my time on the computer.
What are some NOT expensive hobbies I could pick up?
I think my parents will kill me if they here me say "I'M BORED" one more time.

Thanks in advance!

My father in law found this bill today in his wallet. It is a regular, new $50 US bill with a cat face imprinted on the front, right next to Grant's picture. Neither of us has ever seen anything like it. I thought it was from a stamp pad at first, but after looking closer, it looks like the same ink as used in printing.

Does anyone have some expertise with currency? Is this something valuable and unusual or just a prank?

Thanks!

the costume is a skin tight black one piece. i'd like to glue little pieces of velcro all over it so that i can stick things to it (the things are also made of fabric and have little pieces velcro glued to them). is there any type of glue that will stick the velcro to the fabric so that it won't fall off when worn?

I've been doing it the cheap way, with a manilla folder and I've also used a couple of mylar sheets. Obviously the mylar works best, but the folder gets the job done pretty good. Any suggestions on other materials?
