Is this a model car, or a real car ?

Either way, you follow the instructions for thinning on the PAINT instructions !! For model enamel paints, I use a 1:4 ratio.

With a model, IF you can: build the car in "sub-assemblies"... so that the body and chassis /interior are separate. Then you can paint the body without getting paint on the chassis. I also leave the windows out until final assembly, and use ELMERS to attach the windows, rather than plastic cement or crazy-glue.

Always use light, evenly swept coats that extend PAST the model, and let dry 24 hours before further coats and sanding.

Good Luck
