I just read that soy milk is causing cancer and killing off babies.

http://www.nydailynews.com/city_life/health/story/12099p-11453c.html

"As little as a 5- to 8-ounce serving of soy milk a day has been proven to suppress thyroid function,"

I just bought some soy milk and now I am afraid to drink it since it's supposed to pretty much get you close to death.

"I went into full-blown hypothyroidism within 72 hours,"

Oy. But soy milk tastes really good with my oatmeal and it's a nice change from cow milk all the time.

Anyone know anything more?

I'm a vegan and I've been experiencing some hair loss which I think may have something to do with my diet. Does anyone know if I may be missing something that is linked with hair loss? thanks.

I mean really why do people think that meat is actually good for them?
First off animal meat…dead flesh these animals were killed and their adrenaline was released and is within the meat and people are addicted to the chemicals that have been pumped into the animals to make them bigger ext..
Meat does indeed slows your digestion and uses a lot of energy to digest it…vegetable and nut protein takes about an hour to digest as meat takes 15 to 24 hours to digest.
Our bodies really DON’T need meat…we are sold on the idea that we need it to survive when in fact we do not…
Meat actually slows ones ability to read and see energies….tying you more to mundane energies

I went to a Chinese place today and ordered my usual veggie fried rice and eggrolls. The waitress asked me if I was a vegetarian and I said yes. She then told me that the egg rolls have a little bit of pork in it.

This really upset me because the last time I was here, I asked if the egg rolls had any meat in it and the waiter said no. I didn't taste anything unusual and since he said they were meat-free, I thought nothing of it.

Well, now I know that it did have meat in it and I was upset.

Fellow vegetarians, how would you react?

A proper link would be helpful if you can find one.....
Also that there is no link between eating meat and bowel cancer.

I just have to wonder... some kinds of butter are, and some aren't... some have the 'V' symbol, some don't. Do they put animal fat directly into the butter? What's the story?

if they had no idea you were a vegetarian?

Would you accept it, or is there a kind way to not take it?

This happened to me and I took it and ate it, and now I feel bad.

I'm going through the worst spell of PMS I ever remember. I've never been so irritable in my life. I'm going NUTS!

I'm a vegetarian, but the other day, a friend spent a long time cooking for me and my family, and she brought meat over (my mom was sick and we were all worried which is why the friend cooked for us). So I ate a little of that. I felt bad not to after she had done the nice gesture.

Could that be the cause of my being so bad this month?

How do I maintain a vegetarian diet without people thinking that I must not like all the slaughtering of animals? I really don't care whether animals are slaughtered or what, I might do this to be healthy.
