I'm not particularly annoyed by veggies, they may be a bunch of over sensitised hippies, but it;s their choice.
What I am annoyed about are those claims that it's a healthier lifestyle; it lacks protein. Yes, protein can be got from nuts etc, but not all the proteins you need can. To get all the proteins you need you have to eat meat.
Meat contains toxins they say, well that's utter rubbish, in reality eating meat is healthier, look at all those sportsmen and athletes, they all eat meat.
Meat does have fat in, but that is only a problem at all if you sit around all day doing nothing.
I don mind veggies, but I hate the pseudo-science they spew.

I'm not annoyed with vegetarians as much as I'm annoyed by their logic. And their paraphernalia. And their habits of turning up at the precise moment at which I'm about to devour a nice chunk of bloody red meat.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for freedom of expression...so long as that expression allows for the opposition the right to their own expression.
I mean, what's more delightful than walking into the cafeteria and seeing posters of half-dissected animals, and things that make abortion clinics look like Sesame Street? My own school had been invaded with the Cedar Springs chapter of a PETA club, and they actually locked the doors and refused to let us leave the cafeteria while they flashed their pamphlets and played a video of a slaughter-house that made most of us lose our respective lunches. Only after the bells had rung, were we allowed to leave, at which point they distributed said pamphlets and flagged us down in the halls to load all of us up with those god-awful posters and other stuff.
But I digress...
I have no problem with Vegetarians or Vegans, or even Lacto-Ovos, so long as they don't try and convert me. I mean, if you're happy with the things you believe in, fine, just don't try and force them on me. I don't try and ram steak down their throats, so they should show the same courtesy and not attempt to cram their beliefs into my head.
And anyone thinking me a heartless b*tch ought to check out a show called;
"Penn & Teller's BullSh*t"
And pay extra close attention to the episode about PETA. I think they're still on ShowTime, and they do all the research in the world to back up their opinions.

I am from India and i have been a vegetarian all my life. I have never even tasted meat nor felt the need to. My whole family has been vegetarian for many many generations. Although i have lived in the US for 6 years and am married to an American who isnt vegetarian i have never wanted to eat meat. I am aslo a food scientist and i like my vegetarian diet for personal, health and cultural reasons.
Meat-eaters dont bother me and no one has ever told me that they were bothered by my vegetarian habits. I am mature enough to understand that people need to eat meat to avoid over population of animals. Its just that its my personal choice not to be a part of that. I have never tried to convert a meat eater and thats why i am ashamed of PETA. They make vegetarians like me look bad.
However i am annoyed by ignorant meat-eaters who try to make me eat meat and lump all vegetarians in the same category.

I am not opposed to eating healthy but eating meat is not immoral like a few preach. I'd like to ask vegetarians this " Are we above the animals or not?" If so than why can't we eat them if we are their masters. If we are NOT any better than the animals than why should we not eat those in our food chain... Lions eat their lesser in the food chain, so do bugs and everything else that eat prey.

Strange question to pose to vegetarians. I don't eat meat and get it forced on me all the time. Meat eaters can be very annoying and closed minded.

I am a vegetarian.I grew up in India in a vegetarian family.Sometimes certain groups flaunt vegetarianism in Canada where I live.....I guess I am comfortable being a vegetarian but neo converts have to flaunt it to get noticed...maybe that causes a certain amount of distaste..??

What's to be annoyed about? If you must judge, judge on other than what goes into a person's mouth. My son is vegetarian, just decided to be. He's a loving caring person who I am very proud of, but it's not because of being veggan. (He does eat fish, milk and eggs.)

I'm a Vegan and my common-law husband is an omnivore. We respect each other's lifestyles and have a great life! Okay, we use different cooking utensils...my set of pans for non-animal cooking and his for his omnivore cooking. He doesn't get annoyed at me for being who I am and I don't get annoyed for his eating meat...I try to set a good example at being a lovely, loving person...and not trying to force my lifestyle on anyone. Wait...he does get annoyed...I have a LOT more energy than he does...eating and using no animal products gives you lots of energy...oh, well!

Kind of, I am a vegeterian but the only reason is because I just don't like meat, I'm kind of annoyed at the people who eat it and then suddenly become vegeterians
