I mean really why do people think that meat is actually good for them?
First off animal meat…dead flesh these animals were killed and their adrenaline was released and is within the meat and people are addicted to the chemicals that have been pumped into the animals to make them bigger ext..
Meat does indeed slows your digestion and uses a lot of energy to digest it…vegetable and nut protein takes about an hour to digest as meat takes 15 to 24 hours to digest.
Our bodies really DON’T need meat…we are sold on the idea that we need it to survive when in fact we do not…
Meat actually slows ones ability to read and see energies….tying you more to mundane energies

There is no longer any doubt about the fact that eating meat is bad for your health.
The list of diseases known to be associated with meat, which are commoner among meat eaters, looks like the index of a medical textbook.
Anaemia, appendicitis, arthritis, breast cancer, cancer of the colon, cancer of the prostate, constipation, diabetes, gall stones, gout, high blood pressure, indigestion, obesity, piles, strokes and varicose veins are just some of the well known disorders which are more likely to affect meat eaters than vegetarians.
Avoiding meat is one of the best and simplest ways to cut down your fat consumption.
Those who still eat beef are, in my view, foolishly exposing themselves to the risk of contracting the horrifying human version of Mad Cow Disease.
Add to those hazards the fact that if you eat meat you may be consuming hormones, drugs and other chemicals that have been fed to the animals before they were killed and you can see the extent of the danger. No one knows

precisely what effect eating the hormones in meat is likely to have on your health. But the risk is there and I think it's a big one. Some farmers use tranquillisers to keep animals calm. Others routinely use antibiotics so that their animals do not develop infections. When you eat meat you are, inevitably, eating those drugs. In America, over half of all antibiotics are fed to animals and I don't think it is any coincidence that the percentage of staphylococci infections resistant to penicillin went up from 13% in 1960 to 91% in 1988.
The healthiness of a vegetarian diet is perhaps shown most dramatically by the fact that lifelong vegetarians visit hospitals 22% less often than meat eaters - and for shorter stays! Vegetarians tend to be fitter than meat eaters - as well as healthier - and many of the world's most successful athletes (particularly those who specialise in endurance events) follow a strictly vegetarian diet.
It is the fat in meat that does most harm - and which makes

meat eating an even bigger health hazard than smoking - but don't think you can avoid the dangers simply by avoiding red meat because you cannot. If you want to eat a truly healthy diet then you must give up eating meat completely.
There are, of course, all sorts of old-fashioned myths about eating meat
It used to be claimed that people who didn't eat meat would be short of protein.
But that is now known to be absolute nonsense.
And it is equally untrue that if you don't eat meat your diet will be deficient in essential vitamins or minerals.
Meat contains absolutely nothing - no protein, vitamins or minerals - that your body cannot obtain perfectly happily from a vegetarian diet.
Becoming healthier isn't the only reason for turning green.
Many of those who stop eating meat do so for moral and ethical reasons as much as for personal gain.
Every minute of every working day thousands of animals are killed in slaughterhouses. Many animals are bled to death. Pain and misery are common

for animals suffer from pain and fear just as much as you do.
In an average lifetime the average meat eater will consume 36 pigs, 36 sheep and 750 chickens and turkeys. More and more people are deciding that they just don't want that much carnage on their consciences. It is never too late to stop eating meat.
In addition, more and more people are becoming aware of the fact that hunger around the world could be eradicated if rich westerners stopped eating meat.
Every year over 400 million tons of grain are fed to livestock - so that the world's rich can eat meat.
At the same time, 500 million people in poor countries are starving to death.
Many of those who toy with the idea of turning vegetarian (because they want to be healthier, because they want to stop world starvation or because they can no longer bear the thought of encouraging such a barbaric trade as the breeding and killing of animals for food) worry about what they are going to eat.
Such worries are quite unnecessary.

There are not only many different fruits and vegetables available these days but, if you miss the texture of meat, you can buy vegetarian sausages, hamburgers and pies. Stews and curries can be made with soya and you can buy tofu cheese too.
To keep healthy eat raw foods whenever you can (because vitamins are easily destroyed by cooking) and use as little water as possible when boiling vegetables in order to avoid losing water soluble vitamins B and C. Steam or stir fry vegetables if you can instead of boiling them.
Remember that keeping food hot - or reheating it - can destroy vitamins, try to eat fruit and vegetables in their skins (because vitamins are often stored just below the skin) and be imaginative when shopping! You can get the iron, calcium, zinc and other essential minerals that your body needs by eating dark green, leafy vegetables, nuts, pulses, sunflower seeds and dried fruits.
There are heaps of books available about food. Copyright Vernon Coleman 2003

I AM A NOT AT ALL SURPRISED MY THE AGGRESSIVE RUDENESS OF THE MEAT EATERS WHO ANSWERED THIS QUESTION..
WHO ANSWERED THE QUESTION BY TELLING US THAT MEAT EATING IS GOOD FOR US..
BACK WHEN HUMANITY CAME DOWN FROM THE TREES DO TO OVERCROWDING..MOVED ONTO THE PLAINS.. DISCOVERED FIRE.. HAD A BUNCH OF SHROOMS.. BEGAN TALKING AND SPREADING NORTH AND SOUTH FROM THE EQUATOR BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY HUMANITY BEGAN TO CONSUME ANIMALS.. IT IS NOT CLEAR IF IT WAS THE CORRECT PATH.. BECAUSE CURRENT NUTRITIONAL STUDIES IN ANIMAL AND PLANT BASED DIETS SHOW THAT ENOUGH OF ALL NUTRIENTS IS SUPPLIED IN A PLANT BASED DIET..
10 GRAMS OF PROTEIN CAN BE FOUND IN NOT A BOAT LOAD OF NUTS.. BUT LESS THAN 1/2 A CUP
MORE THAN 20% OF GREEN VEG.. IS PROTEIN..
MORE THAN 10% OF FRUIT IS PROTEIN
THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT THE CANINE TEETH OF HUMANITY ONLY DEVELOPED AFTER MEAT WAS ADDED INTO THE DIET..
ORIGINAL HUMANITY WERE TREE PEOPLE.. YES ARE VERY MUCH LIKE GORILLAS BIOLOGICALLY
MUCH MORE LIKE GORILLAS THAN LIKE TIGERS BEARS AND LIONS..
WHO HAVE VERY LONG AND POWERFUL CLAWS TO GRAB PREY ON A RUN.. LONG PIERCING TEETH TO RIP FLESH AND DRAIN BLOOD.. AND A SHORT INTESTINAL TRACK SO THAT THE MEATS CAN PASS THE BODY IN A SHORT TIME
A HUMAN NEVER CAUGHT A GAZELLE IN ITS BARE HANDS RIPPED OPEN ITS FLESH AND ATE IT RAW
HUMANS ARE NOT BUILT THAT WAY
PERHAPS WE ARE NATURAL INSECT EATERS
BUT LARGE ANIMAL EATERS... NOT
I BELIEVE THE BIGGEST REASONS THAT PEOPLE STILL EAT MEAT IS BECAUSE WE DON'T REALLY WANT TO ACCEPT THAT WE HAVE BEEN LIED TO ON SUCH A BASIC LEVEL.. THAT WE HAVE BEEN WRONG ON SUCH A DEVELOPMENTALLY EARLY ACHIEVEMENT.. BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE HAVE A SERIOUSLY STRONG EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO THE FOOD THEY EAT.. AND IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT TO ADMIT THAT WE HAVE CONTROL OVER OUR HEALTH AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY

We have a word for people like you, it's called a propaganda-merchant.
Eating meat is healthier than a veggie lifestyle, a meat eating diet contains all the proteins you need, a veggie diet only contains a few. It's a good source of iron as well.
It does not contain toxins. That was spread a while ago and has been dis-proved beyond doubt by REPUTABLE scientists.
Natural? Don't make me laugh. We evolved as omnivores, our digestive system is more like that of a dog's than that of any herbivorous animal. We have canines etc. Meat does contain fat, but a good way of getting rid of it is exercise, for all you people out there who aren't chronically lazy. Fat can make your skin more greasy, which can lead in some cases to worse skin, but there were worse things than having a few spots. How superficial are you? Anyway, people who eat meat can have good skin, and vice versa, eating vegtables is a much better way of improving your skin than not eating meat.
We evolved for an omnivorous diet, and consequently we can't get all he nutrition we need from a veggie diet. A cow can, because that's how they evolved.
Meat does take more energy to digest. It is also a much better source of energy than plant matter, so on balance it's better that way too.
Eating meat is natural, it's the way we evolved, as omnivores.
Worse than smoking? You just lost any hint of credibility you ever had, and that wasn't much.
If meat's so unhealthy, why do all the healthiest people around, athletes, sportsmen and the like, all eat meat?
In Europe the use of hormones in farming is outlawed, as is importing meat which was farmed in such a way, so no problem there for me.
Cruelty to the animals is besides the point, but anyway, if we didn't eat them no one would keep them and they'd all have to be slaughtered. It's better that they get a shot at life, with health care and good nutrition.
Go spread your pseudo-science somewhere else.
And the replies to your question betray the fact that most vegetarians are either self-righteous or ignorant, mostly both. As I said, veg contains proteins, but not nearly all the types that we need.

I agree with you 100%. I really think society has been brain washed for centuries, but now more than ever before there is truly no excuse to not cutting out meat. With all the different meat replacements out there, being a vegetarian is easier than even before. I think Paul McCartney once said some thing along the lines that if every one stopped eating meat we would be a step closer to achieving world peace.

I have been a vegetarian since I was 12...about 7 years now and just became a Raw vegan. I don't look sick at all and my skin is getting very beautiful! We do NOT need meat for protein!! We need amino acids for protein which can be found in green, leafy veggies! It's not natural these days to eat meat since all of the animals are fertilized by unnatural means...animals going to slaughter houses don't mate...we take the sperm from the male and fertilize the female with a tube. Is that what God intended? is that natural? Umm, no! Also they are injected with hormones and if you saw the conditions of the animals...you sure as hell wouldn't be eating it! meat.org check it out...watch the video!

I dont eat meat. And my skin isnt beautiful at all... Wish it would be.
Um but considering humans have been eating meat since the beginning of time...It helped people survive..
Not exaclty sure what your talking about...about engeries and stuff like that...O_o
Just leave meat eaters alone. They eat what they want. We, vegatarians, eat what we desire. It isnt our deal to shove our beliefs down their throats. Not really trying to be rude at all.
Sorry. But it is exacltly like religion to me.
If people dont want to hear about it....dont make them. We are all on different fence posts.
I do think that the chemical thing is correct in a way.
But humans need protein to survive. Sure they can eat nuts all they want. But its kind of hard eating a boat load of nuts just to get 10g of protein.
Well all those diseases are bad...But I am pretty sure not ALL meat eaters develope those problems. If they watch the amount of fat they eat. And cook the meat thoroughly they should be fine.

Why do people think that vegetables alone are good for them? It's human nature to eat meat. Meat is a rich source of proteins and other GOOD nutrients. If you want to be a vegan, go ahead, but don't push your ideas on us.

GREAT POINT! YAY
i actually heard that you do not need the protein in animals b/c it isn't good for you. the only proteins you need are in humans, and we can't very well eat humans b/c ppl would freak. so they are all like what the heck, we'll find the next closest thing. and to all the ppl b4 me. there is plenty of protein in veggie burgers and nuts and beans. you do not need meat in ones diet to preform to your fullest. do some research. [ i fully agree with you on the people with beautiful skin. i have not had one pimple or break out since i've become vegetarian except now b/c the humidity in the air b/c i'm on vacation] goodness. i fully fully fully agree with everything you said.

Why do you think meat is not good for you? I have grow up eating meat, and I'm perfectly healthy. The only problems I have are with stupid people that don't know how to drive. (don't know what they eat). If we were not meant to eat meat, why have people been doing it since the creation of time????

I don't buy into your vegan mind cult. Meat is superior. I love my beef and chicken. Maybe some of like to eat stuff that doesn't taste like grass and poo. There are several studies which have linked human brain growth to higher protein intake from meat. Keep eating your chimp diet. I'm sticking with my meats.
