I am holding a charity dinner and will be feeding somewhere between 75-150 people. The menu will be vegan/vegetarian, so I should be able to save some money as the cost of meat is usually th highest food cost. I will be serving a salad, a couple appetizers and two or three main dishes, followed by a lite dessert (maybe even fruit salad or something). I will be doing most of the prep, etc. out of my home. If anyone could give me a ballpark estimate I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I am having a BBQ on the weekend, I have about 10 people, give or take a few, to cater for. I don't want it to cost too much due to having bought new tyres and vet bills for my dog (bad planning lol) so what should I serve? I am not used to having people over at our house so all I can think of is sausages, buns, burger patties and salad, what else could I do? I don't want too many leftovers either because we dont eat them.

My sweet 16 is tomorrow!! Yay! I want to have a halloween sweet sixteen, and I was wondering if you guys had any game ideas. Also, I am gunna have a coffin and put my cake in it, and keep the lid closed, so no one knows what is in the coffin. My dad did this with a Subway sandwich, and pretended to have a funeral. He would say stuff like "This guy was such a 'ham'. Or "this person was good at 'bacon'(baking)" I was wondering you you guys could come up with an obituary or something like that, for my cake. (It's a chocolate cake if that helps at all! :D LOL!!) Thanx so much!! =)

We've been worried about what to make going well with beer, so I thought, hey! Why not make the tailgate with an oktoberfest type of theme to the food?

My boyfriend wanted to have a huge party for his birthday, but it was way to late to plan and the idea fell through. Now he wants to have a backyard barbeque at his house. What type of food should you have at a barbeque in October? What can you do outside? Let's face it, it's a little chilly. I was thinking either steaks or just hot dogs, maybe some corn on the cob and potatoe/maccaroni salad, baked beans, a garden salad, and of course the cake (well, actually pie because he's not much on cake) for desert. What are some fun things to do at a barbeque?

I have an interesting challenge ahead of me, in December i am tasked with feeding 400 people, the problem is where we are serving has no heat source. This is a lunch, we have tried sandwiches, pizza, and cold meals in the past and they have not gone over well. It is cold and rainy this time of year and we are going to need a hot meal. Any ideas on what kind of meal would be good or how to keep the food hot enough with no exsisting heat source at the site?

throwing a 1970's themed party for my dad's 50th birthday, and I need ideas for centerpieces on tables. Its a sit down dinner party with dancing, ideas we had are giant martini glasses filled: with 70's candies, mini disco balls, and confetti. Another Idea we had was a small ball or vase filled with many disco ball, on a mirror with four tea light candles around it. Any other ideas would be extremely helpful. Also room decor Ideas would help. We are renting the showroom at dave and busters if you have never seen it http://www.uniquevenues.com/facil.detail.rfi.cfm?facil_id=54421 click the more photos link... it is the red room.
