Im gonna make something out of avocado so i want to know if theres any ways to preserve it and for how long?

I don't know if this would work. But, you could first spray it with a little bit of lemon juice so that it does not brown. Then you could maybe spray on a few coats of polyurethane, and that might preserve it for a while.

You are lucky if you can prevent avocado from browning. Why don't you make the statue out of polymer clay, that you bake in the oven. Make the base out of the avocado ( maybe a square shape ) Place th statue on top of the base. You will have to insert a support for the statue. Look for this in the baking craft section, in your large local craft store. Eat the base, and save the statue. The directions for using the clay are on the packaging. Make sure you don't actually let the statue touch the avocado. The clay is not food safe.

I just read in my magazine how to preserve carved pumpkins and this is the same idea. Spray it with bleach (this prevents anything like mold from growing on it and a layer of vasaline. But before the bleach lemon juice so it doesnt turn brown.

Coat it in lemon juice. Then wrap it as tightly as possible (without squashing it of coarse) in plastic wrap.

citrus juice and use toothpicks to give it structure i guess...if its gonna be a statue....
