Do you go telling your "meat-eating" friends that they are cold blooded murderers?

Everytime your "meat-eating" friends eat chicken do you give them dirty looks and give them a lecture about how eating meat is wrong?

Just a thought - No rude answers please.

xx

a minority of cooks say that they add wine to the pot as the initial ingredients to cook off the alcohol.

Who is right?
And the alcohol is used to deglaze the pot. Does that mean that it loosens the dripping bits from the pot to add it to the gravy? I assume yes.

I asked this question before and the answers I got seemed to assume that the brand of pork rinds I had didn't have protein. But the thing reads, for serving size 8 rinds, 8 grams of protein, which is certainly a significant amount. So why does it say next to 8 grams, "not a significant source of protein?"

All throughout the board here, there are many "thumbs-downs" given and arguing over the many degrees of vegetarianism. Like it or not, not everyone is the same and not everyone eats the same thing. Some people include fish/seafood in their vegetarian diets while others believe in the all or nothing; no animals of any kind.

Here is a list to educate everyone on the many degrees of vegetarianism:

Veganism - Do not eat animals of any kind as well as dairy products; nothing from animals whatsoever

Ovo-Vegetarianism - No eating animals but will eat eggs, no daity products.

Lacto Vegetarianism - No eating animals or eggs but do eat dairy products.

Ovo-lacto Vegetarianism - No eating animals but do eat eggs as well as dairy.

The other kinds of vegetarian diets are:

Pescetarianism - No eating meat except for fish and seafood.

Pollotarianism - No red meat, they eat poultry as well as fish.

Flexitarianism - Usually consume both vegetable and meat diets

Where do I start? Ok so we invited my 4 yr old son's friend and his parents over for Thanksgiving and they were delighted to come join us. I asked the mom before hand if she and her family were allergic to anything or can't eat any foods. She said they can't chocolates or drink sodas but everything else they can eat. 2 days, we made a lot of food and cleaned up our place to make it comfortable for the guests. When the guests arrived, I welcomed the parents by hugging them and when I hugged the dad, the dad just stood there and didn't hug me back for some reason. This made me feel weird so I let it go.
I asked if they would like anything to drink or eat and they all ate (only a few foods) but the mom didn't want to eat anything or drink anything at all. I soon found out before I served her turkey that she didn't eat meat and she was a vegetarian. I wondered why she didn't tell me beforehand that she couldn't eat meat, so I could fix her something else besides turkey. Continued.....
