The corn dog or corndog is a hot dog coated in cornbread batter and deep fried in hot oil, although some are baked. Almost all corn dogs are served on wooden sticks, though some early versions were stickless.[1]

Corn dogs are rarely served outside the United States, where they originated, though variations are found in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.

Well, nobody really knows what's in a hot dog! Seriously, it could be a beef hot dog, pork hot dog, or soy dog. It's just pushed on a stick, dipped in a cornmeal batter, and deep fried.
