What is what we in France call a gratin de pates !

Sorry ajfrederick9867 but i know what is grated cheese and it looks as if you never had gratined cheese which is the restaurant way to say melted cheese on top with a light brown colouring.
Next time try to answer the questions and not make yourself look like an ignorant person.

Yes I do, and the term is "grated" not "gratinated" for your information.

Yes. First the pasta, then the meat and tomatoe sauce (Bolognaise), followed by grated cheese and finally a spread of neat tomato puree. Yum Yum! DB

you guys are funny...when you've gratineed you've added shredded cheese and bread crumbs for a crispy topping..and personally i love it.
