I'm planning on making some cupcakes for Halloween, the twist is that instead of the classic cherry I'm going to mold some skull cherries out of fondant instead.

Now I need a way to make them look as glossy and shiny as real cherries, is there a glace of some sort I can apply?

Whenever I drink any kind of alcohol I get really red all over my body. Sometimes I get really hot also. This can happen after just taking one sip.

I have a very old Good Housekeeping cookbook that includes a wartime supplement. The outside of the book has the same checkered pattern that better homes and gardens cookbook has. The problem is this book was vandalized during the process of moving (left in the car and someone broke in and tore it up for ha-ha's ) and I'm missing the first 60 pages. I would love to find a replacement copy but without the publishing information I'm stuck. There are some old ones out there but not quite this old. I'm guessing this is either early 20's or early 40's given the war supplement. If anyone out there has one like this intact could you give me the publishing info?

I made a mistake by freezing a packet of six Gammon steaks. I usually split them into three two's. Question is, can you cook them and re-freeze them. If you can, how would they be cooked next time they are de-frosted?.

Maybe because it's only available around Christmas time, but I really like eggnog.

Is the homemade stuff worth the trouble, taste- and cost-wise?

Quite frankly, any hints on making homemade would be appreciated too!

Thanks!

It seems that the biggest objection I've heard about meat from vegetarians is that it causes suffering. Well here you have modern technology catching up, and scientists will soon develop meat free of suffering, since it is just tissue being grown in nutrients.

So any of you eat this vat-grown meat? Why or why not? If you answered yes, how much would you pay for vat-grown meat?

help. I have canning jars. I only have about 2 gallons or less. if I mash them up it would be one gallon. I don't think I want to pay the shippiing charges to send them . to some place where they walk around bare footed and mash them. so I figure ill just use a mixer. or something. got a plan for me. If we cant do that can you send me the best grape wine recepe. she has a great WHine. I need wine.

Hi,

I do not drink often, but I did drink this weekend, and I drank way over my limit, but I did not black out. Is it possible to receive brain damage/loss from just one night?
