I'm cooking barbeque drumsticks in the oven, how long do they need to bake for? I'm used to making barbeque chicken breasts, which takes about 30 minutes, but those are boneless.

I'm 17 and my Father and I are doing the cooking this year. Last Thanksgiving, my mother was in the hospital so we spent our thankgiving there. My mother and the rest of our family cooks. But this year, we are doing the cooking. What are some good things to cook. I'm making a List now so far I have,

~Turkey
~Ham
~Stuffing
~Collard Greens
~Mac N' Cheese
~Rolls or Cornbread
~Cranberry Sauce
~Green Beans, Glazed Carrots
~Pumpkin Pie
~Sweet Potato Pie
~Lemon Chess Pie
~Cakes

What else am I missing or do you think that's it. Thanksgiving is about spending time with Family and Friends and giving thanks to those you love. It's not the food that counts it's the family.

And one of our traditions is going shopping the day after. I love doing that. Is anyone else going to do the same or do you plan on going some weeks before.

I'm saying this too early but to everyone, Have a Happy and Safe Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Baby hid the meat thermometer, so assume that I don't have one:

- 14.09 lb turkey.
- 325 degrees Fahrenheit
- Convection oven (convection feature may be shut off)
- Foil-covered for 3/4 of cooking cycle
- Turkey is not stuffed

Hey Y'all, I just got a new winter and summer squash recipe in which the directions say to pierce and cook the squash in the microwave until barely tender. I'm using a butternut squash in the recipe, but I've never cooked one in the microwave and I need to know how long it might take to get to barely tender. Has anyone ever nuked a squash? How long do you think it would take? I know how to cook them in the oven, but I think this is supposed to sqeed the process because the recipe is to saute afterward. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 weeks now and at first it was ok, but now it's kind of like... *SIGH* I mean, i'm a very picky eater so I tend to stick with things I like and now they're just becoming boring.

For breakfast I may have cereal, for lunch a salad, then for dinner i'll have whole grain pasta. And that's basically been what i've been doing for 2 weeks and i've probably switched it up like 3 times, maybe.

I don't like cooked vegetables so it's kind of hard to find things that I like. Any suggestions? PLEASE!

My cousin’s husband and I were talking one day about the lasagna we had at the house. It was the kind that you buy at the store then heat at home. Of course it was the normal recipe that neither of us really likes because we don't like ricotta cheese. I'm wanting to make lasagna(it would be REALLY cool if I could do it from scratch) but replace the ricotta with another type of cheese, we discussed putting in provolone instead. Is that possible, will it hold up right? Do you have any suggestions and/or good recipes for it? Thanks in advance!

And not just the name brand, I'm seeing it in the store brand equivalent. Used to be creamier. It is "harder" now, and doesn't melt the same. It's easier to slice, granted, but I don't buy it for how it slices I buy it for the taste and texture....
