I would say a loud NO to that.
The oil would make them taste very weird.

I agree with fed up woman... just use the "light" olive oil. It doesn't have much or any olive-y taste. I use it all the time for dishes where I don't want an olive oil taste but still want the health benefits of olive oil.

Yes, just don't use virgin or extra virgin, their taste is too strong.
