I need this for low-carb recipes. Almond flour is too expensive for our tastes so I was wondering if anything else can be used. I have at the time oat flour, flaxseed meal, and soy flour

I have heard that our intestines are so long that meats actually start to putrify before we can pass them through. but if our intestines weren't designed to eat meat then why do we have canine teeth??

i was about to make sugar cookies. a bag of betty crocker's sugar cookie mix is what was going to use....
i know...slacker...
the directions say to use flour to make the dough for cut out cookies, which is what i wanted to do with them...we're making pumpkin cut outs and decorating them...
can i use corn starch instead of flour? that's all i have...i don't want to run to the store for flour being that i have all three kids with me and a run to the store now would be useless and chaotic. it's getting close to bedtime! haha!
any other suggestions for the substitution i can use?
tips? help?
thanks.

when i lived in northern illinois almost every bar and some diners would have a sandwich called a grinder. it was never the same. some places it was just a cheeseburger with a few slices of ham on top. or a ham sandwich with barbecued beef or pork slices. and at one place it was like hamburger seasoned with taco sauce with a sausage patty and lettuce and tomato slices. it was all good. but is there really any definition of what a sandwich called a grinder should be really made of? they serve them on regular hamburger buns or italian or french bread and even just plain sliced white bread. is a grinder a real sandwich or just whatever the cook wants to throw together?

I am doing Tgiving again this year for the entire fam. I tend to repeat alot of recipes but this year I want to try a few new ones. If anyone has any tasty, relatively easy, recipes that you would like to share, please let me know! Preferably, ones you have tried...do not just put a link to recipe.net or something similar. Throw some ideas that you, yourself, make and are a hit!!

The recipe that I am making (Chicken Marsala) calls for 2 tsp of cornstach, can I use corn syrup? Would I use 2 tsp? Would it be better to just not add either?

In looking for a healthier snack I decided to try yogurt and bought a few different flavors of Yoplait Thick and Creamy.... I obviously cannot eat this stuff.

Any ideas as to what I might make from it that might be edible?

Do you simply wipe the grease from the last cooking with a paper towel, or are you supposed to totally wash and scrub it and season again with fresh oil?

I dont like doing them in the microwave, because you dont get the crispy skin (which is yummy!) so was going to try them in the oven instead.
How long do they take in the oven, at what temperature, and do you wrap them in foil, or just leave them uncovered?
Thankyou!

If you mix Ice Blue Raspberry with Watermelon Cherry it tastes and looks like one of those "Bomp Pops". I'm not saying you should mix the packets, but to leave enough Watermelon Cherry for half a glass, then when you make he next batch make Ice Blue and pour it on top of the half glass of Watermelon Cherry Kool-Aid. What Kool-Aid tricks do you know?
