-Casual party ;; dress in jeans stuff like that.
-Do a color theme such as Pink or Blue.
Buy napkins, plates, forks, balloons, and the cake the color of your theme.
-For music I would recommend getting a DJ, but if thats not possible buy or make a CD with about 50 songs you and your friends really enjoy.
-For food just order a couple of pizzas && soda. Get a cake and lay out some snacks liek chips in a bowl for people to munch on.
ENJOY && HAVE FUN!

First of all, check with your parents about having a party and what kind they are willing to throw you. Turning 13 is pretty spectacular, so hopefully you'll be able to have something different and unique! Whether its formal or not is up to you. Perhaps you want to have a dance-themed party where everyone show up in their best duds and you have a DJ play your favorite tunes. Or dress down and go ice-skating first.
Music should include a little of everything that you and your friends love to hear and sing to. Have you considered karaoke? That might also be fun. Games might include a pinata, craziest dance move, the limbo (yes, I know, its ancient), bingo, poker, etc. You might want to have a spray art contest too, wherein guests will be given several colors in spray bottles and then get to spray paint their canvas's. Don't forget goodie bags for all guests! Something that both boys and girls can enjoy, such as gift cards etc. Food? Pizza is always cool. Chicken tenders and homemade fries are good choices. Carrots and Celery with ranch dip. Chips and dip. You get to decide what you want to feast on! Have fun!

Ok well first of all I'm only a little bit older then you so I know whats cool..hahaha. anyway it should be totally casual, i mean who wants to go to a formal 13th birthday? For food: only smallish snacks, nothing big like a huge dinner. serouisly who wants to be seen pigging out. games: spin the bottle, truth or dare, etc. music: just regular cool music no country, raps ok, pop, you know whatever is popular. if you want a theme to it have it be like a black and white party where everyone wheres black and white or something like that.

Happy Birthday!!!
I think your party should be casual. Pick a them such as a movie or a time period. (60s, 70s, 80s) Depending on how much money you want to spend on your party, either hire a DJ or have a boombox with a mix of your favorite songs. Have a refreshments table with chips, pretzals, soda, etc. Have your party during a meal and serve pizza or mix it up and serve something that has to do with your theme. For games, play big games that are easy to play.
Hope I helped!

It should be casual. Have it in your basement, or somewhere roomy. You should have food (pizza,popcorn,candy) and music. Rent a few movies (comedy or horror are good for parties) and you can DDR, or use a ouija board, etc. Also if it's boy girl you can play kissing games like spin the bottle. Virtualkiss.com has some good ones. Hope I helped!
