I grinded basil, mixed in with oil, put in the Mason jar, lids and tied them. Then I put in the boiling pot for 30 minutes. I cleaned the bottles well then make sure they tied. I stored all of them in my cabinet. Today I find some of them leaking, and smell. I turn them side way on my write ties table. I dump the one that dripping out, and plan to keep the ones that not dripping. Could you please tell me, is it ok for a part of oil at the bottom are dark green? Is this process OK?

im a vegetarian & i dont eat SKittles because of the gelatin that comes from pigs hooves...

buuuuut, when i was still eating Skittles they were my fav candy!

are there any substitutes that are like skittles but dont have gelliten in them?

hey.. im notagainst it. actually starting about 2 weeks ago i became one. long time vegetarian before that. but what are some of the reason to do it? im not saying i dont want to be it. i just want a bit more info on it. thanks. anything is helpful and appreciated.

I've noticed that some people crush their crackers before adding them to soup or chili. Some people just break them up a little. Others just use them for dunking. I'm a dunker.

im making snickerdoodles and i have a really good recipe (i made it at friend's once) heres the recipe:

SNICKERDOODLES

1/2 c. soft shortening (part butter)
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt

anyways, i dont have cream of tartar and i cant go to the store to get any. i saw some other ppl have asked the same question and it says that instead of using baking soda and cream of tartar, u can use baking powder. unfortunately i dont have that either. wat should i do? can i just use baking soda and no cream of tartar? or no?
