Last time I went for a curry in Glasgow, the poppadums were served with a side order of 'red onions'. This was chopped raw onion in a red sauce. Can anyone give me a recipe for this please. Curry houses here in the south east don't seem to have heard of them.

I take a large glass of cold green tea, add a teaspoon of ginger powder, some cinnamon, garam masala (Indian spice), ground basil, garlic powder, mustard powder and cayenne (red pepper). Plus a little sugar or honey to taste.

Green tea has some caffeine but not a great deal but ginger is a natural stimulant and its not as hard on your stomach. As is cayenne (despite misonceptions red pepper is actually good for your stomach lining)

Any suggestions for improvement?

I think I am too drunk to drive right now, but I have places I need to go. I didn't know that I had to go anywhere until now. What will speed up the process of getting the alcohol out of my system?

I had 2 ounces of Bacardi 151 with a 12oz Diet Coke within about 15 minutes. I am thin and don't have much body fat.

I've been a born-again vegetarian for several months, and have considered veganism for quite some time. I want to do as little harm as possible, but it's difficult that my parents are typical omnivores. Our family gathers at our grandma's every Saturday for dinner, it's kind enough that she makes us vegetarian dishes on the side, I don't want her to think she has to make an extra dessert too so that it doesn't include milk or eggs. Or, most restaurants don't have vegan options. I want to support animals but I don't want to frequently inconvenience my loved ones as well. And I don't really have the means to get substitutes. Even though I'm 15 and can't drive yet, my brother is also a vegetarian so he could probably bring me to the supermarket. Yet still, I don't have a job and am also not really old enough for one yet (and I'm not very comfortable with babysitting so that's probably out of the question...) Any suggestions? Or should I just wait 'til I'm living on my own? Thanks.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get 25lbs of gelatin. It needs to be unflavored, standard gelatin...like Knox. I am making a whole bunch for a science project and it will cost way too much to get it in little packets at the super market. Does anyone know of any commons tores or a website that has 25lbs of gelatin really cheap, does not have to be edible, it just has to gel up.
