It depends on what you're serving....red meat typically calls for red wine, such as merlot, syrah, shiraz, cabernet savignon etc....white meat,, such as fish or chicken typically calls for white wine such as chardonney, chenin blanc (dry) etc. Have the red wine chilled...white wine is usually served at room temperature. Pork and veal are also white wine meats because they are mild in flavor. Have fun and good luck...wink wink

Depends on what the food is.

Generally speaking for a white wine with fish or chicken. Red wine with pasta or red meat.

My advice is to go to www.wineintro.com and they will have a complete list of what you can use.

Merlot or Pinot go good with just about everything.
But to stay away from trouble do not try to pair any wine with avocados or asparagus.

It all depends on the food. If you're having food suitable for a red, I love a good Italian Amarone.
