I have heard, seen and read many a thing about food as it relates to the items being 'kosher', what does this mean? Does 'kosher' only deal with food or does it pertain to a certain lifestyle?

I have a minifridge in my room, which stays at about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a pack of those little Poland Spring 'Aqua pods', but since they are expensive and i have a water filter on my sink, I would rather just refill them and put them back in the fridge. Could there be any bacterial problems if they are in there for a certain amount of time? I'm saying no to myself, but I know never to drink standing water etc, so I would like to be sure.

What can I make with thinly sliced boneless, skinless chicken, mexican cheese mix, 1/2 red onion, and 1/2 tomato? Is there something that can easily be made with the George Foreman grill, or in a fry pan on the stove? I need some new ideas since I'm pretty new to cooking.

Even though I know how to bake sweets perfectly, I don't know the basics of cooking meat. I know how to coordinate flavors and textures for the most part, but it would help me a lot if I knew the basic staple times too cook most cuts of different kids of meats thoroughly. I just feel gross. I have a membership at curves and nothing is happening.i can't fit into my shorts from last summer.I'm 19 and I dont want to end up looking like my heavy set aunt and uncles.HELPPPPPPP.I know if i dont eat i will gain it all back when I eat.SO, Im thinking of just drinking water and eating fruits and veggies.Also,im addicted to pop so I know that some of the weight I've put on is because of that!

My husband will be turning 23 on November 28th. He is OBESSSED with the 80's. ANYTHINg 80's. LOVES 80's music. And such. I was thinking about throwing him a suprise 80's Themed party. I am vegetarian, but was quite alarmed to see the damage we do to bees, in the production of honey.
But on a recent programme on BBC radio 4 (The food programme Sunday 8th July 12.30, Monday 4pm, might be on play again on the bbc website) They showed how dependent we are are on hived Bees for the production of basic food items such as apples, other fruit, and oil seed rape.
It seems impossible to avoid animal abuse.

I love making Asian fried rice and chicken dishes, but my attempts at Japanese fried rice and teryaki/hibachi chicken/steak/shrimp are definitely missing at least one important ingredient I just can't figure out. I've tried combinations of salt, white pepper, plum wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, but I never get it right. I know this isn't "true" Japanese cuisine, but I gotta know either: What are all the ingredients in this recipe (the one with rice, egg, corn, carrots and peas)?. Bonus points if you know of a recipe including any of those ingredients I'm missing.
