That sounds great.
But I would still consume meat and dairy for your calcium and iron requirements.
And remember, nothing will happen without regular exercise to go with healthy eating.

Definately stay away from the soda :-) You do not need to eat just fruits and veggies. Adding some fish and chicken will also help. That way you get protein and won't lack energy either. You do have to be careful with what fruits and veggies you eat though, because some of them have "hidden sugars". Pears, banana's, apples, pineapple, peaches, nectarines, and grapes, have a higher sugar content. Same with carrots, they actually have a bit more sugar then other veggies. Eating them is still a lot better then having candy or something, but you still have to be careful with some fruits. Another thing that REALLY helped me was eating small meals all day and drinking a lot of water in between. You don't have to stop eating, just eat smart :-) Good Luck sweetie :-)

I would first of all seek the advice of a medical professional. Secondly, your weight gain is directly effected by the soda you are drinking or are addicted to.
First: You gain the weight of the water if your renal system is not working fast or hard enough. The only way to combat that is to seek diuretics either OTC or a 'script from your doctor. I lost 60 lbs. since last February and 30 lbs the first month. Along with this you have to protect your potassium or you will get seriously ill.
Second: the sugar and caffeine in the soda are really harmful at any age. Too much sugar and too much caffeine have their own detrimental effect on your systems.
You must wean yourself away from soda and move to fruit juices and good wholesome water. Stay away from alcoholic beverages because the alcohol turns directly into sugar during the digestive process and this effects many systems and the worst damage is done to your renal system. Your kidneys, liver and spleen can't adjust to the alcohol as readily as other food substances.
And, the best of all advice I can give you is have a friend nearby to talk to. Especially a kindred spirit who will compete with you on your quest to re-gain your former body proportions.

I second the seeing your doctor advice.
I also suggest joining Weight Watchers for a healthy solution. You don't even have to go to meetings any more. It can all be done online. There are message boards for support, lots of people who have gone through the same things you're going through now. It's not a quick solution, but it is a long term one if that's what you're looking for. I eat so much better now, and I feel much healthier, and one of the perks is that I lost weight in the process.

Do NOT drink anymore sodas, drink only water, eat fruits and veggies, eat several light meals a day instead of stuffing yourself with one huge meal. Exercise....even if it's walking, anything to get your pulse going and sweat. Don't eat too late, not past 7pm, and keep it up. YOu will see results in a few months. be patient.

Make sure you eat protein, and a little fat (healthy fat, like Omega-3). It actually will keep you fuller longer, and you need it for energy. And definitely cut out the pop. That's pure sugar, and you'll actually get hungry faster after drinking it.
