if we put milk/coffee/milo in silver coated flask/thermos, is there any chemical reaction occur between the silver coated and the liquid put in it?

would it be safe to use it after that?

We keep it in the fridge or freezer to make it last longer but we still tend to watse a bit. Any ideas?

I realize this question has been asked before, but there are none open, and there weren't lots of replies to the other ones. So here goes!

What is your best, personally tried, cookie recipe? ANY kind of cookie. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, but I also love apple spice or cinnamon cookies. I need a cookie that is going to make my boyfriend's stepdad clam up about how he never wants to try vegan food, and I really want to make the kitchen smell good!

I've cooked without eggs before, using the baking soda, baking powder, flour, and water recipe, which worked great. Whatever method the recipe calls for works. Thanks everyone!

When I make hummous, I prefer to remove the skins/shells from the chick peas. It makes for a much creamier, smoother end result. But, it takes forever!!! Is there any easy way to remove the outer skin of the chick pea? It seems like the lebanese restaurants must remove it because their hummous is always so smooth!

I have been a vegitarian for 16 years.At age 10 i just could not eat animals, no big deal. Some people dont like tomatoes, some don't like fish etc...,but so many people throughout my life have said hurtful horrible things to me about killing animals,questioned my sanity, said i was unhealthy,tried to get me to eat meat or pay me to eat meat. I'm so sick of hearing it that I dont even tell people anymore. As i look on all these questions i see so many people making fun of vegans, people who want to help the enviroment. We have so many food options beside meat yet nobody is willing to go without it to reduce animal suffering and pollution..Its like crack or something.

I have tried to make chicken and dumplings so many times and every time the dumplings are too hard and do not taste good. The chicken and broth are absolutely wonderful. What am I doing wrong?

If a recipe calls for an oven setting of 350 degrees for 1 hour and the same recipe calls for 20 minutes in a microwave (1200 watts) on high. Does anyone know or can answer which one uses more electricity? These days..I have to watch the usage closely. Summertime in south Texas can be brutal and the AC is used when I'm home. That makes my bill high. Try to save where I can.
