with a true blackberry when you pick it the hard core will stay in the fruit . with a raspberry the core stays on the plant.

Blackberries and Black Raspberries are not the same and have a different flavor. In the plant world they are of the same genus called Rubus but the The Common Blackberry is known as Rubus fruticosus and the Black raspberry is known as Rubus occidentalis. i dont think theres such a thing as black raspberry.
