How much do you think it would cost for someone like the Plain White T's to perform at a sweet sixteen party??

I was wondering how much they or someone like Gym Class Heroes would cost to perform?

For many large entertainers private performances are too expensive to make a profit. They have to haul the equipment, take time off of their tours/recordings, and then perform. Your best bet is to forget about it unless you are Bill Gates.

For a national act, you're looking at paying what they'd get to perform on tour - sometimes $10-$12K or more. I have a friend who used to be in a national act and now has his own band, and they get $20,000 for a private performance - hence the fact they pretty much only play corporate events, and the occasional wedding.

probably 25-50,000 + maybe even 75 grand for them to perform you are better off with a dj unless you've got mega money..
