I have already sent out the online invites over a month ago and those who have responded have declined. I am hesitant to send out the "mailed" invitations. Thoughts. Is it me or does no one like this lady?

It could be that no one likes her. But to have a positive attitude, call the remaining people that you have not heard from to see if they plan on attending. Really sell them on attending by offering great prizes for games played, a great menu, etc.

No. It's a growing trend (at least in my experience) that not many actually RSVP. If I were you, I would assume that those who have neither declined nor accepted are coming. That way you won't be suprised. Those that have declined clearly aren't coming so x-nay them from the gathering.

Half the people should come, so plan on that.
Or you could send them another online message.
Or you could call them on the phone to get an immediate answer.
There are a lot of people that don't send back the RSVP and it is very inconsiderate.

Send out another email invite, with a message that you need an RSVP.

It is just the timing. Some people may still show. call them. Ask for a new list from the shower lady. It is nothing personal usually. Ive seen it happen a lot

Call the people. Don't go any further with your plans ( and expense ) until you get a firm count on who will be attending. It strikes me as strange no one, except those who declined, have responded.

Chances are, people are just too busy/forgetful to RSVP. You're going to need to call people and ask. I'm betting that most of them don't mean to be rude.

...and as one of those people who always forgets to RSVP (unless it's on Evite), I'm sorry.

If no one RSVP's I would still be ready for about half to show. Whether you are providing food, favors, or anything else it is better to be safe than sorry! If these people don't like her, it is her fault.

I would call anyone that hasn't specifically already told you that they weren't coming. People just may not like her... unfortunately.
