Like, do you ever feel like it all tastes the same? Do you ever want to eat a different thing every day for every meal? I am so sick of the food i eat, and want to try something new. Any good ideas? (like italian food, or french or mexican or american; allergic to indian spices and can't eat sushi).

I have a great sounding recipe for seafood lasagna that calls for capers. I dont have any, and since I dont have any other recipes that call for them I am reluctant to go buy any. Any idea if they add much to a recipe? I have no idea what they even taste like!

About my mom: she used to be a piano teacher, she and dad are active in church life; she played the piano/organ at various churches throughout her life. As a youth, she played popular tunes on the organ at the roller skating rink! She still has some of the old sheet music. Immediate family includes 5 grown children and their spouses and 14 grandchildren. She can be loads of fun, and has worked so hard taking care of others all her life. We just want this to be really special. Could just rent a room at one of their fav restaurants and have a giant cake in shape of "7", but that seems so obvious. We are trying to think of something really different. Alcohol will not feature at all as both mom and dad are teetotallers. I know 7 is considered a lucky number and they certainly have been fortunate.... they would say it wasn't LUCK, but GOOD, CLEAN livin' and trusting in the Lord. Any birthday party suggestions welcome..

I need a recipe for some kind of frosting that won't melt in about 95 degree weather. It's going to be for an outside birthday party at the first of june. I would also like a frosting thats not shiny (like the already made kind you buy at the store), if that makes sense.
