I am planning a romantic dinner and I need help in choosing a wine. I am not much of a wine drinker and neither is she. I do not know much about the flavors and textures of wine and how they compliment a meal. I did some google searches and gave me some insight but not enough to choose a wine. Here is my main course...


Braised Short Ribs

3 1/2 to 4 lbs beef short ribs (trimmed of fat)
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (undrained)
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup Zinfandel Wine or Cranberry Juice
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup hot chili sauce (or to taste)
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon McCormick garlic - pepper blend
2 cups ready to eat baby carrots
1 medium onion (halved, thinly sliced)
salt and pepper to taste

I have everything thing I need to make a great cup of coffee using the french press but I dont want to make coffee fifty times in order figure out how to make the best pot. I dont have the experience of making it and I dont want to waste good coffee while trying to figure it out. Anyone have some words of wisdom?

long story short...i've just started to learn the great benefits of cooking with wine. unfortunatly i've only dabbled in cooking with red wines and beef. i'm curious if anyone has any details of what kind of great flavors a white wine could do for chicken...i'm kind of timid to try it but think it might do some wonders. thanks in advance.

They want the servings of each dish to cover the amount of guest. they want shrimp kabobs, teriyaki chicken kabobs, and beef kabobs with vegetables, Punch, Butter cookies, three sauces for the meats and seafood, so a sauce each, Fruit center piece, chocolate covered strawberries, and croissant turkey sandwhiches. they brought all the dishes for serving. In america, most people only know about our own anheuser-busch budweiser, but I know that the original budweiser is brewed by budvar in the czech republic. I also know that the UK is one of the only countries where a lawsuit wasn't enforced to make one or the other change their name. So theres two budweisers in the UK. With the czech brand obviously being a 1000 times better, does anyone in the UK drink the american budweiser?
