In america, most people only know about our own anheuser-busch budweiser, but I know that the original budweiser is brewed by budvar in the czech republic. I also know that the UK is one of the only countries where a lawsuit wasn't enforced to make one or the other change their name. So theres two budweisers in the UK. With the czech brand obviously being a 1000 times better, does anyone in the UK drink the american budweiser?

Its amazing what a good marketing department can do. Take cat piss, steal a name for it, then make it the best selling beer in the world, while bullying the original into chaning their name. Had some "czechvar" the other day and it is one of the best beers I've had.

When I lived there, I decided I was going to drink Bud just to piss everyone off. I was real surprised to find that everyone else was already drinking it. That sweet warm ale their so famous for is very unpopular with the younger crowd. In England, theirs a organization called CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ales), who's mission is to save warm ales from extinction. They say It's the best drink in the world. Funny how Budweiser doesn't need a campaign to save it.

Here in the USA the delicious Budvar beer is now labelled and sold as Czechvar - it's astonishing how popular that awfull product that's made from rice has become.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do. I was there, last year, and that's all that the locals were drinking. I guess tasteless beer has become a fad.
