I was in the store the other day and wanted to buy a juicer but decided to wait. Today I saw the Jack LaLanne model on TV. I was impressed by the price ($100) but saw that the warranty is only good for 60 days. Now I am really suspicious.

Actually what I want to make is the mixture for strawberry shortcake. I used to use Bisquik, but want to use whole wheat flour. The only recipes I've found, or the one that looked like it was what I wanted, called for whole wheat baking flour, which I don't have. Can I use regular whole wheat flour?

I'm organizing my grandmas kitchen/pantry. Currently she has 6 different locations for keeping food and she never knows what she has and i hate grocery shopping for her- knowing she has 10 cans already- she just cant find them or doesnt remember where they are- or she swears she's out. She keeps some in a cubbard in the house- some in the garage, some under the island & some in the basement pantry. I went through today and wrote down everything she has- (made an inventory).. Are there any websites- i can put in all the ingrediants i have in my kitchen and it will give me recipes based on those items or anything? Any ideas on how I can re-organize everything? I'm thinking like Jellies/Jams in one area, Canned Veggies in another.. etc Things have just gotten out of hand- she asked me to buy her more jelly the other day- and today i found seriosuly- 18 jars of different jelly in the cubbards! This makes cooking a nightmare for her- and she already has memory issues as it is...

What kinds of left over foods do you like to reheat and eat again? I am not worried about how many foods you like to eat, all I care is what kind of foods that can be reheated and eaten again (that is if it still is tasty). List all the foods you like or enjoying eating as a left over.

I don't like yams. I absolutely love sweet potatoes. I can't figure out why people mix them up so much but I am starting to see that even big companies like Outback Steakhouse and baby food makers like Gerber are calling yams "sweet potatoes."

Sweet potatoes are YELLOW on the inside and lighter in color on the outside than yams. They have an almost chewy firmness and they taste like a potato, only sweet.

Yams are ORANGE and they are mushy and stringy when cooked. They actually have an almost squash-like flavor. They do not taste like a potato at all.

So what is the deal? Who knows the difference between them and WHY is everyone so confused???
