The best place to get the freshest seafood sandwiches are of course at a classy seafood restaurant. You have to be careful about where you eat seafood!! Also, depending on what part of the country you live in you can order the freshest and tastiest fish sandwich's ever.
I would say if your ever in New Orleans or Maine then a fish sandwich is a must!!

None of the national chains. Find some fish sellers. They usually have a small kitchen in them. In Chicago, JJ fish has some good sandwiches, But my favorite is JR's fish in Chicago Ridge, IL

Ruby's (mostly California, but a few other places) makes an outstanding fish taco. Maybe their fish sandwiches are good too.

Any coastal town find a local seafood restaurant. I always look for out of the way places near the shore. When all else fails ask the locals.
