I really love my Jack LaLane juicer. I bought it for myself as a birthday present a few years ago and it's still going strong - it has not given me any problems.
I have had two juicers before that and I was frustrated b/c I had to chop everything into super-small pieces. The chute on the JLL is great!
As far as someone's comment about the juice being expensive to make, I beg to differ. I can buy a 5 lb. bag of carrots for under $3 and a 5 lb. bag of apples for $4. With that, I can drink juice for two weeks. If I bought the crap they call "juice" in the store, it wouldn't last that long and it's nutritionally bankrupt.
Just as a rule of thumb, the more you pay for a juicer, the better it is. It just depends on how much you want to spend and how much juice you'll be making.

I have been juicing for 20+ years, and have all types of juicers including the Jack Lalanne one. The Jack is a piece of garbage and is VERY hard to clean and use. I have been most happy with a cheap Waring juicer that I got at Walmart for about 30 bucks. Best tip I can give you is to clean ANY juicer the very minute you are done juicing-the enzymes break down quickly and its harder to clean when it gets gummy-which is within minutes. Well I'd say NEVER BUY A JUICER, when you get a juicer you don't get all the benefits from the actual fruit and you are piratically getting nothing out of it. What I would recommend is the VitaMix I personally have one and it takes the WHOLE fruit and just blends it all together you cant even taste the seeds. IT creates very good juice, soups, smoothies, and even ice cream. Its really good but the price tag is a bit steep I got mine for around 300 from costco. But please save your self some money don't buy a juicer just get something that's super powerful and you can use the whole fruit so you get the best for your health and for taste. P.s the vitamix has life time warranty :)

The $100 is nothing compared to how much it will cost you to make the juice on a regular basis. Everyone I know that bought a juicer, has it in a closet because the fruit and veggies just don't produce that much juice for the $.
That being said, if you buy one look at these before buying the Juiceman off tv. These have much more powerful motors.

it's just like a jack lanne but it has one less part to clean, and it's problly eaiser to clean then jacks, just remember to push all the way down when you put in the blade part, it's got to click

i would get the vitamix instead. It's >$100 but cleaning is no problem and it does more then juice.
