Would it cause major problems? If they are in love, can the veggie ask the omni to go veggie too?

I'm a vegan, and I'm about to marry an omnivore. Marriage is all about respecting each other's differences. For us, that's our diets. And our cultures, but that's another story. My fiance and I love cooking and eating together. Food is a big part of our life even though our diets are different. Plus, he makes awesome vegan pancakes! :-)

Sure they can marry, they just need to work out some solutions to problems that might come up in the relationship such as raising children. They need to respect each others choices. One of my boyfriends rarely ate meat when we went out to a restaurant (just out of respect for me- I never asked him to) and he started buying organic/ free range dead stuff so that the animal would have had a better quality of life before it was murdered for food! Sarcasm aside, some people might not be able to live with a carnivore just like some people that are a certain religion won't marry someone who's an atheist. It really just depends on the couple. If you love someone unconditionally then it can work. If you don't then you shouldn't be marrying them in the first place. Hope this helped.

I know several vegitarians that are married to omni and they discuss things and come up with solutions.
He eats whatever he wants, and she eats what she wants... But she doesn't want to eat meat.
Why would there be an issue?

I am a Vegan and am married to a Omnivore. It is fine as long as each understand the other and neither pushes their values on the other. People are different and should allow the freedom of choice.

They can only marry if they agree that they don't have to have the same eating habits as each other. They do need to make sure they agree on what foods they will feed their kids when they have them

Personally I don't like kissing people who aren't veggie if they don't brush their teeth first. Probably because my veganism stems from psychological issues. If it doesn't bother you, then why not?

Only id they promise not to eat each other. But I would not ask someone to change their eating habits too much.
