I'm thinking about becoming a vegetarian. So that means no meat. What are some alternatives that are just as enjoyable? No salad or stuff like that, I'm not doing it for health reasons.(I'm doing it because of mistreatment of animals and all that stuff)

My poor hubby is sick and I want to make him feel better! Help me! (P.S. Why do men shut down and turn to babies when they are sick? I had this same cold this weekend and still had to be ma!)

My friends and I are having a "fusion cuisine" potluck, so I need your best fusion recipes! I need it all: appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts and drinks!

PS: we're doing an Asian theme, so some recipes along ASIAN lines would be greatly appreciated.

I am bringing in some BBQ's to work for a potluck that was supposed to take place a week ago, but is now going to be this week - therefore, the BBQ's I made for last week were vacuum sealed and thrown in the freezer until I needed them. Now this is the problem - how do I reheat them and keep them warm at the potluck? The office where are meeting/potluck is taking place only has a microwave. Our meeting starts at 11am and lunch isn't until 2pm - would a crock pot work?

I made marinated flank steak tonight and the recipe said to broil. It didn't say at what temperature. My oven automatically goes to 500. What temperature should I set it at when cooking flank or round steak?

Do they have the same amount of calories? I don't think the flavored ones taste sweeter than the regular ones. Do they just add the flavorings without sugar?

I recently tried this at a Thai restaurant and want to try to make it at home. All the recipes I am finding call for fish sauce, but I can't find it at the store. I found the red curry paste and coconut milk, but before I buy more, I want to know what the best ingredients are to use.
