Any good recipes for Hot Toddys?

Question

My poor hubby is sick and I want to make him feel better! Help me! (P.S. Why do men shut down and turn to babies when they are sick? I had this same cold this weekend and still had to be ma!)

I hope your hubby feels better. Yes, men cannot take being sick like women can. They are more like babies when it comes to being sick. And most will admit it too.

I see you have a couple of Hot Toddy's already, here is a different one: An alcohol free one...

2 cups water
1 peeled and sliced lemon
1 peeled and sliced orange
1 teaspoon cream of tartar (optional)
1/2 cup crystallized ginger, cut into matchstick-sized pieces
3 dashes Tabasco sauce (optional)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup lemon juice
Place first five ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer for 20 minutes or so.
Remove lemon and orange pieces.
Add the rest of the ingredients and bring mixture to a boil.
Strain, cool and bottle.
Keep in refrigerator up to two weeks.
Save ginger slices if you like and add to bottle.
Add a small amount to a teacup and fill with hot water.

Make a grog. It's half rum, half hot water and sugar. You can add some orange juice or lemon juice since he's sick.
Also, warm orange juice with honey is really good. (You could even add some rum into that)
I know what you mean about men turning into babies. What would they ever do without us?

1 tbsp honey
3/4 glass tea
2 shots brandy
1 slice lemon

Brew tea and fill a tall glass 3/4 full. Mix in honey. Mix in brandy shots. Add lemon slice and enjoy!

By the way, I know what you mean about men shutting down!! Its not fair! =]
